Melrose Place (1992)

Bye Bye Billy - S1-E24

Continuity mistake: The rooms Amanda and Billy fool around in are different between the scenes. Earlier they are at Amanda's apartment, with the bed across from a window. Later when she brings Billy breakfast the next morning, the bed is different and there's a wall where the window was previously.

Revealing mistake: As Veruca sings "I want it now" in the egg room, the plastic seams on a few of the golden eggs are quite visible, along with their 'dimpling' near the tops and bottoms, as the Oompa Loopmas pass them around for polishing.

Fright Night (1985)

Continuity mistake: When Charlie and Peter find the bitten wounded Amy lying unconscious on the floor in Jerry's bedroom, she is shaking as she transforms into a vampire. Her hair also changes back and forth between the shots. From a perfect curly coif to a longer frizzy vampish do. Then when Peter enters the room alone, and she gets up, it's suddenly long and curly down her shoulders.

Moonlighting (1985)

The Murder's in the Mail - S1-E6

Factual error: Dead blonde guy is sitting upright in the chair, as Dave/Maddie close in, and Maddie realises he isn't moving. David goes to him and smacks him across the shoulder, to "wake him up" and blonde dead guy, right on cue, instantly slumps over a table at his right side, when the direction that David hit his shoulder, should have sent the dead guy slumping more forward, then at the front edge of the table. Obviously staged for the actor's comfort.

Other mistake: After Leonardo sets up his canvas to begin painting The Last Supper with Jesus with his disciples, he says "hold it" and then the camera flips to show the men (and Comicus) now situated behind the table. Look at the disciple in the blue tunic at the right, who first looks off to his right, then corrects his position, and faces left, with his arms extended. (00:52:32)

Twister (1996)

Factual error: After the 3rd twister knocks down Dorothy, spilling the micro balls on the pavement, Jo yells at Bill to stop the truck so she can gather them up, Bill grabs at her to stop, calling her obsessed over something that happened when she was a child. The camera then zooms in on the truck CB radio airing their conversation live. Which would be impossible considering that type of old school handheld receiver requires a human finger depressed over the button to talk.

Hart of Dixie (2011)

Kablang - S4-E1

Revealing mistake: After their intimate night together, Wade goes for more, but Zoe tells him she wants breakfast first. As he crawls out from the sheets, you can see the lining of his white underwear.

Grease (1978)

Other mistake: At the dance, students are still arriving as the band starts to set up. A moment later, the MC announces over the mic that Johnny Casino and the Gamblers will get things warmed up, and then music starts, which is not possible with the band just setting up.

The Goldbergs (2013)

Continuity mistake: When the Wicked Witch leans down to see the ruby slippers sticking out from under the house, she is pointing down at them, and practically touches them. But in the subsequent shots, she is in her standing spot from prior, pointing between Dorothy and the house.

Video

Pretty Much Dead Already - S2-E7

Revealing mistake: When Shane lets loose on the gang at the barn about the two walkers Hershel and Rick just brought out from the woods, he fires several shots into the female walker's torso, as he screams at Rick about them not being human. Then subsequently fires two shots at her head. Yet she is still moving when she should have dropped. As ANY blow to the brain kills instantly. But she doesn't drop until Shane dramatically moves right up to her and shoots her in the forehead.

Suggested correction: Those two shots were actually into the torso. He fired three into the torso, paused, two more into the heart and lungs, paused, then two more into the torso before he put one in the head.

Which One Is Jaime? - S3-E18

Revealing mistake: After Max the dog breaks free from the cage and then bites through Callahan's chains, the two head to the metal barred window and Max begins pulling on one of the bars with his teeth. Which are obviously rubber, as they 'bend' slightly as the dog is pulling.

Other mistake: When Jason slices Pete's throat from the back seat with the machete, it goes deep, and blood should be gushing from Pete's jugular. But in the following shot, the edge of the knife has barely grazed the rest of Pete's throat, leaving only a fake trail of dried blood.

Halloween 4 (1988)

Plot hole: Toward the end, when Jamie and Rachel are being taken to safety by the vigilantes, Michael suddenly climbs over the back of the truck and slays all the guys one by one. There is no way he could have been 'hiding' under the truck as he was still deep inside the school when the truck sped out of the lot and down the road. Obviously added for dramatic effect at the end.

Continuity mistake: The handle of the machete Jason stabs both grave digger guys with changes between shots. As he stabs the 1st guy, the handle is tripoint, but as he stabs the 2nd guy through the neck then pulls back, the handle now has a rounded end like a wooden peg.

Continuity mistake: As Tommy reaches Jason's grave, he hears laughter and voices coming from the woods. As the voices move closer we see lights in the clearing. Tommy runs off in the bushes to hide. Moments later, two guys with flashlights and shovels suddenly rush in, from the opposite left, instead of the clearing path at the right, from where they were.

The Goldbergs (2013)

O Captain! My Captain! - S4-E11

Other mistake: Barry climbs up on the desk and comically recites the "Oh Captain my Captain" refrain, which is in reference to the finale of Dead Poet's Society, which came out in 1989. An actual time jump forward, that would make him 20-something, which he isn't. And makes no sense for the episode, which is still set in the mid-80s.

Other mistake: When Jason sneaks up behind the cop and raises the hammer to whack him, the angle shows it aiming for the cop's neck, but in the continuing shot, he strikes the back of the cop's head. (00:45:35)
