The shot cuts to a closer shot of Homer, and the shotgun is still away from his face, but in the next shot, the shotgun is suddenly upright.

Continuity mistake: Bartman Begins: After Principal Skinner reveals his plans to Bart, Homer tells him "I've never heard of such an evil plan. You're like if the iron sheik had baby with Rowdy Roddy Piper times a billion." Whilst Homer is saying the line, he has Kearney and Dolph in a headlock and Kearney and Dolph are looking at each other, but in the next shot, Kearney and Dolph are suddenly looking at Principal Skinner.
