Continuity mistake: The warden attempts to trap Ricky by pushing a table at him. On the table there is a tray filled with meat from when the warden forced an inmate's arm into a meat grinder earlier in the scene. In the shot where he first pushes the table, the meat in the tray is towards the right hand corner of the tray. Ricky then jumps over the table and the meat is now towards the left hand side. Continuity mistake: When Hodaka first fires his gun whilst being threatened by the man, the shell casing lands on the ground beside him, right next to his head. A couple seconds later, when Hina goes to help him up so they can run off together, the shell casing has vanished from the ground. (00:22:06)

Continuity mistake: Mima is watching Rumi set up her new computer. In the reflection of the monitor, we can see a calendar on the wall behind him. The first number on the bottom row of calendar is 26 in the reflection. A minute later, when Rumi asks "what are you going to do with a clip", we can see the calendar in the background and it is now the number 27 shown to be the first number on the bottom row. In a wide shot of the room a few seconds later, the envelopes have changed order. The blue envelope is now on the bottom, the pink envelope is now in the middle and the white envelope is now on top. Continuity mistake: In the final fight scene, there is a moment where Ricky punches straight through the warden's stomach and punches out through the other side. The shot then cuts to the warden for a second, but when the shot cuts again, Ricky's arm has suddenly been completely removed from the warden's stomach. No way could Ricky have removed his entire arm from the warden's stomach that quickly. (01:27:33)

But later in the scene, when the warden becomes muscular, there is suddenly some blood around his mouth that wasn't there earlier. (01:26:20 - 01:27:14)
