Continuity mistake: As the students exit Rob's class, the principal walks in to talk to Rob. When the camera is on the principal as he is walking into the room, there is nothing on Rob's shoulder, but in the next shot, the strap on Rob's bag has suddenly appeared there. Then in the next shot, he is shown placing the strap over his shoulder. (00:01:35)

Continuity mistake: Plankton is questioning Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob for the formula whilst they are stuck inside a mechanical hand. The area where the screw is located can be seen on both sections of the hand, on the right and left hand side. In some shots the right side of the hand completely obscures the screw on the left side, and in some shots not. Also, in one shot, the screw changes colour and becomes white.

Continuity mistake: When the bell rings at the end of Rob's class, the time on the clock in the classroom reads 3:00. A couple of shots later, the students pick up their belongings are shown walking out of the room, and the time on the clock is now 3:02, though only seconds had passed. (00:01:25)
