The Deadly Goddess Affair - S2-E17

Factual error: Solo's communicator starts transmitting all by itself. He's bound and tied when Illya calls, but somehow the "ring tone" stops and the frequency opens, allowing Illya to hear what the bad guys are saying, all while the unanswered and untouched device is still in Solo's pocket. The Paradise Syndrome - S3-E3

Factual error: When Kirk is given the medicine badge, it's a stretchy elastic/Spandex headband. This is supposedly a completely pre-industrial culture paralleling the early Native American tribes. They have no fabric, no yarn, no spinning wheels - only hides and animal hair, neither of which can stretch a la Spandex. (00:14:40)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Animals - S4-E5

Factual error: Servalan's ship takes off from the surface of Bucol 2 with Avon and crew standing directly below it. Yet for some reason, the down-blast from the very large launching ship does nothing more harmful than slightly mess up their hairdos. (00:47:50)

Experiment in Terra - S1-E22

Factual error: Apollo tells Brenda and the General that he's from another galaxy, and Starbuck later repeats this impossible claim. The series writers have again confused galaxies and solar systems. Intergalactic travel would take thousands of years. The rag-tag fleet usually moves at only sublight speed, and it traverses only star systems, not galaxies. (00:26:00 - 00:29:30)

Greetings from Earth (1) - S1-E19

Factual error: Michael's ship escapes from the landing bay into space - with a crowd of people standing right next to it. No one is at all adversely affected by the launch and the vacuum it should have exposed them to. It barely ruffles their hair. (00:40:00)

The 'J' for Judas Affair - S4-E3

Factual error: Apparently, U.N.C.L.E. bullets can do 180s. Illya fires at the fleeing Thrush limo from behind, and without hitting any of its other (closed) windows, somehow puts two bullets through the car's front windshield. (00:48:20)

Miri - S1-E9

Factual error: If Miri's planet is a "duplicate" (meaning identical) Earth, it should have clouds. It doesn't. This remains a mistake because "duplicate" means "exactly the same," and thus the clouds should be there. The special effects crew forgot to put them in. Noteworthy: the very first thing fixed in the digitally enhanced version of this episode was the duplicate Earth. It has clouds now. (00:01:30)

The Bridge of Lions Affair (2) - S2-E21

Factual error: While Solo prepares the explosive, Waverly's line to Joanna is, "If you and I are wise like Lot's wife, we'd better not look." The scriptwriter got this backwards. Lot's wife was unwise and did look, and turned into a pillar of salt. (00:41:00)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Ultraworld - S3-E10

Factual error: The Ultra may be expert collectors of knowledge, but they have their facts wrong about Avon, who tried to steal 5 million credits from the Federation banking system. The Ultra think it was 500 million. (00:10:05)

The Prince of Darkness Affair (1) - S4-E4

Factual error: Solo is supposedly in Iran, yet there are scores of women in the crowd wearing skimpy, sleeveless tops and mini-skirts. Even in the Shah's Westernized Iran of the 1960s, this was still a Muslim country. Women (including tourists) were not permitted to appear in public without "modestly" covering their arms and legs. (00:11:00)

The Long Patrol - S1-E7

Factual error: Apollo tells Boxey they're leaving their star system and entering "a whole new galaxy." Wrong. Throughout this episode, the writer confuses solar/star systems and galaxies, which are vastly (literally) different things. Even with hundreds-of-times-faster-than-light drives, Galactica's fleet would need thousands of years to cross between galaxies. (00:02:15)

The Lost Planet of the Gods (1) - S1-E4

Factual error: Starbuck and Apollo fly into a void and are surrounded by total blackness. This misconstrues the meaning of a space void, which is simply a large area without stars. It does not mean that further-distant stars and galaxies would disappear. They'd still be just as visible as before you entered the void. Even if Starbuck and Apollo were able to leave the galaxy and travel hundreds of thousands of light years into a really big void, they'd still be able to see the galaxy they left behind them.

The Suburbia Affair - S3-E17

Factual error: Betsy orders and picks up the rare drug for Willoby at the pharmacy, without a doctor's prescription and without identifying who it's for. Even in the 1960s, FDA laws weren't that lax. No pharmacist would have filled such an order. (00:23:20)

Volcano - S3-E3

Factual error: Liberator's medical treatments are certainly weird. Vila dresses Avon's wounded arm with padding that's put on over top of his clothing. (00:37:20)

Countdown - S2-E9

Factual error: Avon and Grant use an electric torch to melt the ice covering the bomb. When it's removed from its hiding place, it is suddenly completely dry and clean: not a trace of ice, water or dirt on it anywhere. (00:36:00)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Trial - S2-E6

Factual error: Servalan's space station is shown rotating at a fairly fast clip. But the stars in both her office window and in the courtroom window are stationary. Because the station is spinning much faster than a planet's normal rotation, the stars should be visibly moving. (00:00:35 - 00:03:10)

Killer - S2-E7

Factual error: Avon and Vila watch the rocket launch from the surface of the planet. The rest of Liberator's crew also watch it from the flight deck, and somehow their view from orbit is at exactly the same angle from which Avon and Vila are seeing it: a ground-to-air shot. (00:03:15)
