Continuity mistake: At Carol's barbecue a soldier drives up in a jeep with a message for Dr. Marvin stating that they lost contact with rocket No. 11. Dr. Marvin holds the message and an envelope in his hand as they look up and see the rocket burning up in the atmosphere. He never puts the message back into the envelope but when he sits down the envelope is alone and the messages is gone. (00:13:50)

Continuity mistake: After Burke Dennings is killed, Chris goes upstairs and finds the window in Regan's room is wide open. It's so cold that you can see the condensation from her breath in some shots, but not in others. (00:59:10)

Continuity mistake: Det. Kinderman throws his napkin down flat on the table in front of Chris as he gets up. In the next shot it has been rearranged on the table. (01:15:40)

Continuity mistake: As Mrs. Robinson walks into Benjamin's room we see his dart board and someone has been playing between shots as the red dart above the board on the wallpaper moves six lines to the left. (00:06:40)

Continuity mistake: When Dorothy starts singing, "It really was no miracle…" we see two Munchkins on the bridge. One in a red and white bonnet and the other has a distinctive blue hat. In the previous shot they are together on the other side of the stage on Dorothy's left. (00:23:40)

Continuity mistake: After they find and fingerprint the alien body on the pool table, Jack starts out holding the piece of paper with the blank fingerprints on it in both hands. In the next shot he's holding his pipe in his right hand. (00:21:35)

Continuity mistake: When they remove the helmet from the dead alien the front of Dr. Marvin's hair is combed differently than it was earlier in the scene. Carol's hair changes also throughout this scene. (00:56:20)

Continuity mistake: As they sit enjoying Carol's barbecue the umbrella on the table behind them is tilted in a different direction between shots as a soldier drives up in a jeep with a message for Dr. Marvin. (00:13:15)

Continuity mistake: Mr. Robinson sits in Benjamin's apartment waiting for him by the window as he smokes a cigar. In the first shot of this scene the cigar is lit, he never puts it out but several seconds later we see it again and it isn't. Continuity mistake: Cornwall rides out in pursuit of Uther and is impaled as his horse throws him off. The next time we see him a few shots later as Uther makes love to Igrayne the spears protruding from his chest are not in the same spots. (00:13:25 - 00:15:00)

Continuity mistake: When Professor Marvel comes by at the end of the movie Dorothy is holding Aunt Em's hand. In the next shot her hand is on her stomach. (01:39:45)

Continuity mistake: There's a big mistake when we first see Prof. Marvel's wagon. If you look closely, the entrance steps that can be seen reflecting the light are upside down and would have to be set right before they could walk inside. (00:11:20)

Continuity mistake: In the shot from behind them, the three look down at the entrance to the Wicked Witch's castle and the Scarecrow picks Toto up in his arms. In the next shot Toto is on a rock barking. (01:21:40)
