Character mistake: When Mainwaring and the others are discussing how to break the news to Godfrey about his cottage, it is mentioned that the roof is made of thatch. However when Mainwaring, Wilson and Pike go to visit Godfrey, the roof of his cottage can be seen and it is slate, with no thatch anywhere in sight.
Character mistake: During the scene of the dinner, James (Raquel's father) states that he was in the Royal Navy and was "First Officer" (1/O). The Navy does not have this rank since it is a Merchant Navy rank. The rough equivalent of this is Lieutenant in the RN and Albert would've known this but didn't mention anything. It is also extremely unlikely that an officer the RN would still be Lieutenant after doing his full quota of 12 years service.
Character mistake: Marshall's whole career focus is saving the environment, so it's a poorly written character choice that he buys plastic glasses to avoid a dish-washing feud, boasting that they can just throw them away. (00:20:10)
Character mistake: Both Jeremy Clarkson and his guest Sir Michael Parkinson identify "The Four Yorkshiremen" sketch - about four Yorkshiremen trying to outdo each other with their complaints about life - as a Monty Python sketch. It isn't. It is from "At Last The 1948 Show", presented by David Frost, and was first performed by Tim Brooke-Taylor, John Cleese, Graham Chapman and Marty Feldman, although Monty Python have often performed it.
Character mistake: In the scene where David is trying to make airline reservations for their trip, he tells Roseanne there are only six seats available, and they need eight. They would actually need 11: Dan, Roseanne, David, Darlene, Becky, Mark, Jackie, DJ, Bev, Andy & Jerry. (00:12:00)
Character mistake: This mistake happens in the town meeting scene. They are talking about the two business owners that dated, then moved when it ended badly. It hurt the town's economy. First it was said that Faye sold flowers and the guy sold candy. Then they said that Faye sold candy.
Character mistake: Brandon begins the scene giving his speech while he is sitting/leaning on the desk. The students all move into the picture from both sides and gather around Brandon then they all say, "There's no hope with dope". After the conversation with Mr. Belding, they watch the commercial they just shot (beginning with each student giving his/her opinion about drugs). Then Zach says his speech while sitting/leaning on the desk. He stands up, the rest of the students and Brandon move in and gather around Zach, then Brandon gives his anti-drug speech.wlp724
Character mistake: Marissa said to Ryan (in episode "The Brothers Grim") that the last time she was in Chino, she "saved his ass". She was referring to Thanksgiving, but that's not the last time she was in Chino. The last time she was in Chino was in "The Nana" when she ran there after finding out about Luke and her mother's affair.
Character mistake: Annie when giving her gifts is holding two little mini flags to cover the possible ethnicity of Shirley's baby. One is a Chinese flag and the other is Zimbabwe. Annie makes reference to the fact that the ethnic food she made is one from Ghana. She makes Ghana ethnic food but does not get the right flag for Ghana. She decorates the table with numerous flags which are also Zimbabwe.Lummie
Character mistake: Near the end, when Michael reveals to Brennen he knows everything about him, he says, "I know everything about Tyler Brennen." Michael emphasizes "Tyler" as if it's a big deal that he knows Brennen's first name. Michael already knew Brennen's first name from the first time he met him, in Season 2, Episode 15 "Sins of Omission."
Character mistake: During the radio show, the radio host gives the radio station's phone number as 555-4455, Alf then softly repeats the number back before he gets to the phone. He then picks up the headset and dials a number, but the numbers he presses on the phone don't match up to the number given by the radio station. (00:04:10)Justin Davis
Character mistake: Tina Fey fumbles her line and has to start it again. The original line should have been "How long do you think you're going to get away with this? Hazel or Jenna will know we're missing." Instead the second part of the line is "Henna or Jay; Hazel or Jenna will know we're missing!" (00:04:05)
