Plot hole: Caroline helps Max get her degree, since Max didn't graduate high school. However, in episode 5 of season 1, Caroline and Max are raising money to pay off Max's student loans.
And the Rich People Problems - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: When the girls are at Caroline's house, she tells Max about how she was raised by two women, Estella from '89 to '96 and then Dominica from '97 until she went back to Guatemala. In season 3 she goes to Antonia's memorial and it is pretty emotional because she is supposed to be the nanny who raised her when she was a kid.
And the Great Unwashed - S4-E13
Continuity mistake: Caroline places Nola's bag of food on a coffee table deep inside Nola's apartment. A couple of shots later and the bag is across the room on another table by the door with Nola.
Continuity mistake: When Caroline is breaking into the wrong apartment, from the back she's through the window up to her waist, but from the front she's only through up to her shoulders. Where's the rest of her torso gone?
Character mistake: Winona says that Jason killed a penguin on their trip to the Arctic. This is impossible because penguins only live in the southern hemisphere.
Continuity mistake: When Caroline slaps one of the factory employees with a wet T-shirt, the girl's clothes are wet, after a cut they are dry again. This repeats few times during the fight. (00:17:45)
Continuity mistake: In the theatre, there are 3 'nerds' that are sitting behind Max and Caroline who swap to a solo guy, then when Max and Caroline leave the theatre, swaps back to the original three. Once Hans leaves, someone is already sat in his seat and the woman next to him isn't the same one.
And the Reality Check - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: When Caroline takes off her hat and boots they are in front of her, but when she starts to put the other shoes on, in the wider shot, her boots are behind her and Max. (00:16:15)
Factual error: The girls are invited to the Grammy Award ceremony and fly private in a Bombardier G5. There are 3 passengers, one flight attendant, and one pilot (Captain). There is no first officer. It's illegal to operate the Bombardier G5 with a single pilot.
Continuity mistake: When Chestnut is eating his birthday cake, in one shot there are no carrots on top of the birthday cake, then in the next shot there is one still on there. Max then takes the carrot off to feed it to him, leaving no carrots, but in the next shot there is still the one on the cake again. (00:00:55)
And Strokes of Goodwill - S1-E3
Character mistake: Why does Max get so possessive about the T-shirt that is bought by the other woman when she is distracted? We see that it fits the new owner very snugly and she is much smaller than Max. Fitting her the way it does, it would be far, far too small for Max. Max is chronically short of cash and there is no way she will spend money on something that will be of absolutely no use to her.
Plot hole: The episode partly revolves around Max having lied about the rent amount since Caroline moved in, but earlier in the series it was established that Max was never on the lease and thus didn't have to pay rent she couldn't afford (at least before the cupcake business took off). This was made explicit to Caroline multiple times, who presumably didn't pay rent either. They had the lease renewed with the original tenant in Season four, but that's not four years regardless.
And the Rich People Problems - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: When Caroline's dad "calls her" when Caroline puts the phone to her left ear the phone is on the home screen, compared to the screen you should get if there was a call.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning when Max is talking to the cook about having to take a pregnancy test, her left arm is close to her side. The shot changes and her arm is instantly stretched far across the counter.
And Strokes of Goodwill - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: The two girls are in a Goodwill store shopping and Caroline, the blonde, is carrying a pair of shoes throughout a long scene and then she turns to leave the conversation empty handed. (00:06:00 - 00:08:10)
And the Disappearing Bed - S1-E6
Continuity mistake: In the open, when Caroline is talking to Max about the cheap tip, she has the money in one hand and the receipt in the other. As Max starts to walk away, the shot changes and now the money and receipt are both instantly in Caroline's left hand.
Continuity mistake: In season 3, Max is in pastry school and Caroline has a crush on the teacher who is French. She is unable to speak French and makes up words, but in season 2, episode 16, Max and Caroline get a private jet where Caroline speaks French fluently to the air hostess.
And the Reality Check - S1-E11
Continuity mistake: When Earl is leaving he places bag over shoulder with opening flap 'Inward'. Camera changes and shows him exiting door with opening flap 'outward'. (bag is flipped over). (00:01:41)
Continuity mistake: In the bar scene. Caroline is holding green beer. In one shot it's half empty. In the next shot it's full. And back to half empty. And it's full for the reminder of the scene.
And the Great Unwashed - S4-E13
Continuity mistake: After Caroline gives the "extra croutons" lady (Nola) the salad, she starts talking to her and as shots change the salad changes as they go back to Nola and changes again after. (00:04:33)
Suggested correction: No rationale is needed. Max wanted the shirt and another woman grabbed it. She was just being competitive. A character's choices are not mistakes.

What rubbish. Max is chronically short of cash ("Two Broke Girls" - bit of a giveaway?) and there is no way she will spend money on something that will be of absolutely no use to her. In fact, nobody deliberately buys clothes knowing they will not fit, but that goes double for someone who cannot afford to do so in the first place.
Why on earth would Max be so possessive about a shirt that wouldn't even come close to fitting her?
The posting is correct and the correction is nonsensical. Max does not have money to burn and buying an item of clothing that is far too small for her is simply something that she would not do.
