These shiny, adjustable stands are general-purpose utility holders on a movie set, used to position lights and light control material for a setup (i.e. flags, scrims, diffusion, etc).
Visible crew/equipment: As Denzel walks into the lodge for the end scene and stops in the middle of the room, the camera rotates to the right and holds position. Suggested correction: I have viewed this several times you have mistaken the boom mic for a large round tree branch.
It looks nothing like branch. This is a real boom mic.
