Thirteen Ghosts

Other mistake: When everyone is looking for Bobby, Matthew Lillard says that it is no use shouting because the glass is 100% sound proof. Yet when he is trapped in the cage, he hears Maggie screaming directions for him to dodge the ghost - not sound proof at all then.

Phoebe

Continuity mistake: When Shannon Elizabeth is attacked by the ghost she has scratches on her face, then when they are all sitting huddled in the corner the next shot of her, there are no scratches on her face. (01:30:01)

Visible crew/equipment: During the scene in the library when Matthew Lillard is forced to tell the husband who the 13th ghost is, you can see the director's face through the glass wall in the bottom left while they are carrying out the glass panel. (01:01:15)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film in the scrapyard, we are shown a car suspended by the grab crane. When the Juggernaut appears and all starts to go wrong, the same car drops and barely misses the psychic. Later, we once again see the car suspended in the grab crane.

Factual error: When The Jackal attacks Kathy, it holds her up against the glass with one hand. It then begins to swipe her with both hands, but she still stays up against the glass. (00:48:55)

Other mistake: When Dennis jumps out from behind the glass wall shield, leaving Arthur behind it and The Hammer and Juggernaut ghosts attack, Arthur bangs the glass yelling as if he can't get out; but the wall shield is only propped up, unsupported and should've fallen straight forwards when he thudded his fists on it.

Continuity mistake: When Rafkin is dressed as the power guy, he goes into the basement, then collapses by a glass screen. Between shots the spells written on the glass screen behind him keep changing back and forth. (00:26:20)

Hamster

Visible crew/equipment: Halfway through the movie (when the gears start moving) the glass doors begin to close. It appears that a set of four hands are closing them in the top portion of the screen.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where the psychic and the father are walking through the halls carrying the plate of glass as protection, you can see the trees outside blowing in the wind. Earlier, they showed that all the windows in the house closed up, making it impossible to see outside.

Continuity mistake: When Dennis points to the wiritng and says "these are containment spells," the actual handwriting he is pointing at is totally different between shots. (00:41:15)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: Near the very beginning of the movie, Arthur (Tony Shaloub) trips over his son's scooter and spills coffee on himself; throughout the scene, the stain keeps changing size and location. (00:13:10)

Continuity mistake: When Arthur gets mad, he picks up a wooden chair and starts banging the glass. In one shot the actual seat part of the chair flies off, yet in the next frontal shot it is still attached. (00:38:50)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: One of the ghosts (Juggernaut) appears before it has been released. Juggernaut is the last ghost being released, yet we can briefly see him disappear when Rafkin is looking for Bobby.

Suggested correction: When Rafkin is looking for Bobby he almost sees Cyrus turning a corner.

Other mistake: When Maggie puts the "magic" glasses for the first time, you can see that the light in the right (left to us) lens sparks and then turns off. In the next scene it works fine. (00:31:21)

Continuity mistake: When the psychic is being attacked, the father behind the glass goes from his hands up with his head down and turned to standing straight watching the attack between shots.

Cybermoose

Continuity mistake: When we see Arthur counting the ghosts on his fingers, he has a silver ring on his left hand. However when the house is exploding, we see him huddled with Kathy and Bobby, and his left hand has no ring on. (01:16:35)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: After Kalina whacks Maggie with the book, her glasses change from crooked to straight between shots. (01:10:05)

Hamster

Revealing mistake: When the Lawyer plays the videoclip on the laptop, the stop button is pressed down all the time, instead of the play button. (00:14:40)

Suggested correction: Cyrus was an occultist, it is presumed that this video was haunted. That can also explain why he answers what they key is for in the video after someone asks what it's for.

This theory does not hold up because Cyrus is alive. He's just been wearing a prosthetic neck piece with a popped blood pack in it to appear as a ghost the whole time, in case he's seen walking the house during the plan.

Continuity mistake: When Kathy enters her bedroom she falls backwards onto her bed. In one shot her head is resting on an all-white pillow, yet in the next closeup her head is now resting on a white pillow with gold tassels attached to it. (00:29:20)

Hamster

Other mistake: In the scene where Cyrus's Nephew first sees the kids in the in the machine. (1:18:45) The shot goes back and forth from him to the machine. The first 2 time the glasses are fine the last shot (1:18:550 The prescription inserts in the glasses are crooked. Bad editing. (00:18:45 - 01:18:55)

Rafkin: Oh. Oh, boy.
Maggie: What?
Rafkin: Uh, that's the symbol of the Jackal.
Maggie: What's the Jackal?
Rafkin: The Jackal is the Charlie Manson of ghosts. And if the Jackal's out, screw the kid! We gotta get out of this basement.

Trivia: At the end of the film, the Withered Lover is standing on the place where the Torso sat. Both of these ghosts were rather harmless, and the Torso, while described as dangerous, never attacked anyone, including Cyrus, and walked to his head near Bobby. The only other ghost seen that is more or less harmless is the First Born Son, who is more of a taunter and prankster. This ghost died a quick death, being shot in the head by an arrow by another kid accidentally.

Question: How were they able to see the withered lover at the end without using glasses?

Answer: She was a trapped soul in a house full of magical spells forcing her into a pivotal configuration. When it was destroyed, she was free. Like at the end of the movie, "Ghost," a bright light shined upon her to say goodbye to her loved ones.
