
Trivia: During the scene in the bar with Mystique and the prison guard, the person on the TV is Dr. Hank McCoy - this is the real name of X-Man The Beast.

Trivia: Paul Soles, who portrays the character Stanley, was the voice of Dr. Bruce Banner for the 1966 cartoon of The Incredible Hulk. The name "Stanley" is itself likely a reference to Hulk co-creator Stan Lee.

Both these moments foreshadow pain: a deleted scene of Donnie's death shows a pole impaling his stomach right where he clutched it. And Donnie shoots Frank in the eye.

Trivia: The main characters are taken from other sci-fi movies. The Missing Link is meant to be The Creature From The Black Lagoon (1954); B.O.B. is meant to be The Blob (1958); Ginormica is based on Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman (1958); Dr. Cockroach is copied from The Fly (1958); and Insectosaurus is based on Mosura (1961).
