Continuity mistake: During the scene where Zac Efron is talking to his girlfriend for the first time in the cafe, the reflection of her in the window does not match what she is doing in the scene. (00:25:30 - 00:25:35)
Other mistake: When Christian and Ana are discussing his birthday, you can see Christmas decorations in a window they pass, indicating that his birthday is somewhere around that time. However, his birthday is in June.
Other mistake: When the two Americans are walking on the moors, their shadows are always in front of them, despite them having changed direction numerous times. Additionally, with the moon always being behind them, how are their faces being lit?
Plot hole: Dafoe and Bullock leave the ship a long time before it hits the tanker and there is a lot more time before it crashes into the town and even more before Alex gets on that speedboat. No matter how fast he could have gone, there is no way he would have caught up with them.
Visible crew/equipment: As Sam and Rhonda have Fiona's car confiscated, when Fiona runs out shouting, "I can pay for those parking tickets!" the crew's black mat is laid out on the walkway, but in the overhead shot when she tries to run away that mat is gone. (Visible on fullscreen DVD.) (01:28:10)
Continuity mistake: In the scene just before Miss Piggy and Eileen get fired from the department store, Miss Piggy is watching Kermit and Jenny hug. She then bends a metal pole in half and starts hitting a barrel with it. When she first starts hitting it, the pole she is hitting it with is very thick(much thicker than the one she bent in half), is a different colour and not bent in any way. In the next shot the pole is thinner,longer and looks like the one she originally had, but it is only bent at the top whereas Miss Piggy bent it in the middle. In the next shot of her after that, the pole is now thicker (but not as thick as the first one), is not bent and the colour has changed again. Also if you look around the area where Miss Piggy is, there is only one type of pole lying around, so where did the other two come from? (00:30:15)
Character mistake: In the scene where Sam is filling out the confidential questionnaire, the word "confidential" is spelled "confidentail".
Continuity mistake: In the very last scene of the movie where Chris O'Donnell and Renee Zellweger are on the terrace taking their vows, Renee is holding a bouquet. In one shot it is a bouquet of pink flowers, then it changes to a bouquet of yellow flowers and keeps switching back and forth throughout the scene.
Visible crew/equipment: The cameraman is visible in the reflection of window while Holden is walking back to his car in the rain.
Revealing mistake: After Evolet got hit by the arrow and presumably dies, D'leh is staring at a mammoth. Behind the mammoth, you can see that the background is a picture.
Continuity mistake: When Bella and Edward talk in the woods, Bella drops her backpack in front of a tree. In a subsequent shot, the backpack has disappeared. (00:49:55 - 00:50:55)
Revealing mistake: When they are at the Nutmar camp in the mountains, Val Kilmer tells Willow "Get on that shield!" but when they go over a 6, 7, 8 foot drop when they are sledding down the snow, you can clearly see runners on the shield.
Continuity mistake: John's staff sergeant military shoulder epaulet markings become upside down in the scene when he and Savannah are having dinner at her house when he comes to see her after his dad died. In a later shot shortly after, they are correct.
Visible crew/equipment: As Achilles' ship nears the Trojan shores, Agamemnon snidely asks, "What's the fool doing? He's going to take the beach of Troy with fifty men?" At the start of the next shot, as the camera begins to pan down, on the far right, just beside a person's (who is dressed in blue) head is a metal bullhorn (ie. used to give instructions to cast/crew, and which definitely doesn't belong in this time period). Other mistake: During the scene where the Japanese are being rounded up and taken to the internment camp, the camera is panning over the crowds of people walking down the street. Half way through this scene, there is a woman and a little girl, who seems to be carrying a stuffed Elmo, hardly appropriate for the time period.
Continuity mistake: When Jo's mother and father are in the garden at Jack's house, she gets in her car with curly hair. The next scene shows her driving her car with straight hair.
Continuity mistake: When Curly Bill is shooting up the town while drunk, he fires about 10 more rounds than his six shooter can hold without reloading (so too many shots even if he had a second gun), and still has a round remaining when he shoots Marshal Fred White. In the 1880 court hearing held after Marshal White's death, Curly Bill still had 5 rounds remaining in his pistol.
Plot hole: At the end of the film Woody shows what a nice chap he is by spending the 'tainted' million dollars at a charity auction. He's just made his problems much worse - he paid his solicitor a large fee to arrange the deal, so he hasn't got a million in the bank. That cheque is going to bounce so fast it will crack the plaster on the roof of the bank, and bouncing a million dollar cheque is a serious criminal offence in the US. (There is no way enough interest could have built up to cover the difference, either).
Visible crew/equipment: When Barbra Streisand is standing in front of a window in Pierce Brosnan's apartment, if you look at the part of the window to her right, you can see the reflection of a crewmember standing in a doorway, drinking from a can. (01:50:00)
Factual error: It's late 18th, possibly early 19th century and, as Jane and her sister walk along the beach, a construction crane is visible on the horizon.
