Grease 2 picture

Continuity mistake: When the twins are singing about Brad for the talent show, and Michael was playing the piano (you have to listen and watch), his hands are suppose to go across the keys but he is still doing the fake up-and-down-hand-move.

An Officer and a Gentleman picture

Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, Richard Gere's friend hangs himself in the shower. Notice how many times his friend goes from nude to wearing underwear.

Tootsie picture

Factual error: I work for a television channel in 'daytime serial' production and I can assure you that no actor is going to secure a recurring speaking role in a soap opera unless a comprehensive insurance policy has been secured. (This applies to feature films, too.) This will inevitably involve a medical examination. I'm afraid Mr Dorsey's plans are going to become dreadfully unstuck the minute he drops his y-fronts in the doctor's surgery. (No, he can't find a compliant or bribeable doctor - the insurance company will always use their own people.).

Airplane II: The Sequel picture

Revealing mistake: When the little girl runs towards her grandmother and knocks another old woman out of the way, the other woman crashes into the wall of the terminal and it wobbles, showing it's a thin set wall. (00:14:35)

Sophie's Choice picture

Continuity mistake: There is a long scene wherein Meryl Streep is sitting in a bay window going on about something. When we first see her, her eyes are brown. Moments later, they are blue. At the end of the scene they are brown again.

The Last American Virgin picture

Factual error: When Gary unscrews the top to the nozzle of the front tire of Karen's bike it automatically starts to make a loud hissing sound as if it's losing air rapidly. This wouldn't happen as although the tire would lose air over time it wouldn't make that loud hissing sound unless there was a rip or tear in the rubber. (00:21:35)

The Man from Snowy River picture

Continuity mistake: When Jessica has gone over the cliff in the dark we can see that she is wet, dirty and her hair is plastered to her head and is under her collar. The shot changes to show how precarious her place is on the side of the cliff. However, in this shot, the stuntperson's hair is quite dry and over the collar. Also noticeable is the change in shape of the rock. When she falls at night, she falls onto a very flat and rock - in the morning, it is a different shape entirely.

Best Friends picture

Continuity mistake: When Burt Reynolds and Goldie Hawn are left alone to write the final scene to a movie, Goldie says she needs air, so Burt takes a trash can and breaks out a window. In the next shot, more of the window is broken out than was shown previously.

Victor/Victoria picture

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Victoria is watching man eat a cream cake, the man has cream on his nose but in a different shot he has none.

The World According to Garp picture

Continuity mistake: As Garp is being placed aboard the helicopter, the rotor motor can be heard spinning, but there is no downdraft affecting the people in the scene.

Cat People picture

Plot hole: We learn in the film that Cat People must kill a human in order to return to their human form. However, after becoming a cat at the swimming pool and terrorising Alice, Irena becomes human again without making a kill (the only other person at the closed pool is alive and well at the end of the scene - we know Alice has not imagined the presence of the cat because of her shredded clothes).
