Factual error: In the montage sequence showing Drew Barrymore hanging out with the math club, they have a Pi poster with 3.1457869986. Only the first 3 digits are actually correct. (Pi = 3.1415926535897...) (00:25:20)
Continuity mistake: During the scenes at her Mother's house, Kate's hair goes from blonde to REALLY blonde.
Continuity mistake: During the first scene set in a prison cell, as Martin Luxford (played by Hugo Speer) is about to be released, there is a glitter ball made from an orange covered in tin foil. It is rotating first one way and then the other, as it has been spun by hand. As the film action cuts between the two characters, the ball mysteriously changes direction without having slowed down and at one point appears stopped, having previously been rotating rather fast.
Revealing mistake: When Marin and Jack Nicholson first enter her mother's house, Marin is wearing white pants, and it is noticeable that she has a thong on. When she gets into bed with Jack, she is in full underwear.
Visible crew/equipment: Near the end, when Rodmilla and her daughters are requested to appear before King Francis, in the first shot facing the king and queen, there is a beige narrow mat in front of the large patterned rug, which is not in previous or following shots, specifically used for crew/camera tracking. (01:50:30)
Continuity mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne and others milking goats. The goats then get startled by a baby elephant and Wayne falls backwards on to the ground and you can see he takes the bowl with his right hand and the milk is thrown out of the bowl. In the next shot of him close up the bowl is on his head like a helmet when the bowl never even went on his head as he fell backwards. (01:09:20)
Plot hole: When Andy turns into a werewolf, he kills both Amy and Detective Benbou. Later in the morgue, Amy tells him because of this that she is forced to become his "rotting sidekick." If this is completely true, then Detective Benbou should also be following Andy around but he isn't seen after Andy manages to escape from the morgue.
Revealing mistake: While Akeem is getting his hair cut, you can see the reflection of the white character he plays in the mirror. It is quite obviously a stand-in, with a fatter face and different glasses. (00:33:45)
Continuity mistake: When Nick is sitting on the bed talking to Jessica, her position changes from lying on her side to lying on her back, as the camera angle changes.
Other mistake: When Catherine breaks into Crown's house, her assistants immediately get to work on the security panel. When the first assistant touches the panel, it falls off the wall and he has to quickly push it back into place.
Continuity mistake: At the start in the wide shot of town, when the stage coach enters town three horse back riders pass the coach. The very next shot from the town shows the riders now trailing the coach.
Suggested correction: There are two coaches entering the town, not one! The one we have been following in the previous shots is now heading towards us. The coach (smaller) that is being passed by the riders is heading away from us. The shot from the town that is being referred to here shows the riders now heading towards us, therefore (between the shots) they must have magically managed to zip unnoticed from one side of the town to the other and to have changed direction by 180°.
Continuity mistake: When the devil is falling apart and his 2nd ear falls off, he tells Nicky he cannot hear him, and asks the demon by his side who catches it to put it back on his head. But towards the end, when the devil is reduced to no more than a mouth and 2 arms, he is able to have a conversation with his demons about what's going on and hear them perfectly. (00:52:05 - 00:58:50)
Suggested correction: Its not clear that they are actually having a conversation, he is just a mouth and two arms that can only talk and hold itself up. They respond to him because he can hear but he doesn't even respond to them. Its not illogical that Satan was talking to himself while deaf and falling to bits.
Continuity mistake: At Riley's Garage, when Troy and Chad are about to rummage through the junk looking for the radiator cap, Troy raises his arms and his boxers are light grey, but next shot when he lifts the truck's hood his boxers are black. It's also noteworthy to mention that during "Boys Are Back," young Troy is wearing patterned boxers, though all other clothing is identical. (00:53:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the bar with Gideon when the black guy pours Gideon a drink it is only about 1/3 full. When Gideon drinks it in the next shot it is almost full.
Continuity mistake: In the scene just before the final attack on the castle, D'Artangan is surrounded by his fellow Musketeers. He gets off his horse and while doing so there is a tight close up where you see clearly that he is wearing his Musketeer outfit that he threw down on the floor in the previous scene. When he finishes talking to the horse (and he is back in his normal clothes) Porthos hands him the Musketeer uniform, which D'Artangan then puts on. (01:20:45)
Character mistake: When Melanie and Scarlett are talking with an (off-screen) wounded Confederate soldier, the soldier says he hasn't heard from his brother since Bull Run. Only Northerners refer to that battle as Bull Run; Southerners have always referred to it as Manassas.
Continuity mistake: During the paper cut scene, when Bella is thrown against the table, there are 5 vases of flowers and 3 sets of candles. After she hits the table she lands against one of the vases and knocks the 2nd one to the floor, but the next shot shows only one vase left upright. (00:14:50)
Continuity mistake: At the "Big Pipe" contest the star gets trapped under water when her leash gets caught on some rocks. You see her undo the velcro on her ankle and then abandon the board (with the leash attached). About 20 seconds later when she is diving below the oncoming waves you can clearly see the leash re-attached to her ankle.
Revealing mistake: Most of the posed, fake displays in the ape's Museum of Natural History contain real people who are slightly moving if one pays careful attention. Especially noticeable are those posing with objects held in - or above - their hands.
Continuity mistake: When Ann meets Kong on NYC street, the camera flashes back and forth between them. When it shows Kong, he is surrounded by snow, but when it shows Ann, the street doesn't have so much as a snowflake.
