Shallow Hal

Continuity mistake: When Hal's co-workers bring him a cake for his promotion, Rosemary takes a slice out for herself. They change shots a couple times, and the size of the piece missing from the cake changes several times, and the layers of the cake change as well.

Suggested correction: This is deliberate. When we see the cake with a large slice taken out of it, we're seeing it as it really is, as Rosemary has taken a large piece. When we see the cake with only a small slice taken out of it, we're looking at the cake from Hal's perspective.

There is no indication we're seeing it from "Hal's perspective." Hal even mentioned "where does she put it", meaning he knows she took a big piece. In addition, the smaller piece missing is still a pretty big piece and the large missing piece is seen after Rosemary left and then the smaller piece is seen, both times from Hal's point of view. So for this assumption to be valid, the missing piece should be considerably smaller from Hal's point of view and seen immediately after Rosemary left when Hal looks at back at it.
