Character mistake: In the morning, when Roy and Johnny are by the lockers, talking about what Johnny did on his days off, Roy tells Johnny, "I came on this morning, guys on A shift told me that they had a meeting with Brackett at Rampart yesterday." It could not have been "A shift" because Roy and Johnny work the squad for A shift, with Captain Stanley and the rest of the guys. And we know that Roy and Johnny didn't switch shifts with B or C, since the rest of A shift are there with them, working the engine that day.
Other mistake: When the dispatcher sends Station 51 to 26309 Barcelona Drive, as the squad pulls up in front of the house, the number on the mailbox post reads 4050.
Visible crew/equipment: After they finally get an address for the attempted suicide Squad 51 takes off, and when Engine 51 pulls away from the curb, the shadow of cinematographic equipment is visible on the engine's front, and the reflection of lighting equipment is visible on the side of the engine.
Continuity mistake: When Roy tells Johnny to call Barbara, who heard something that he didn't even say at the movies, in the view from the kitchen Engine 51 is not in the apparatus bay which means everyone else is on a run, but when dispatch drops tones we hear Captain Stanley respond KMG365, and then see the engine parked in the bay.
The Promise - S3-E11
Continuity mistake: When Roy and Dr. Brackett are on 127's Snorkel while Johnny is trying to subdue Richard on the ledge, Brackett is not wearing any rings, but after loading Richard into the Stokes, when Brackett is grabbing hold of the basket in the closeup he's wearing two rings on his left hand, which vanish in following shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When Engine 51 arrives at the scrap yard fire, just before Captain Stanley opens his door and steps out in the closeup, the reflection of a crew member/cameraman, wearing a white, short-sleeved shirt is visible on the engine's red surface.
Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny climb the tower to rescue the man at the top, Johnny slips and Roy helps him down the ladder. When Chet begins his ascent, twice there are shots looking down the center of the tower, and in those two shots the cases of production equipment are visible on the landing where the camera is situated. The print on one case reads "400' MAGS", referring to the filmmaking magazines.
How Green Was My Thumb? - S3-E17
Visible crew/equipment: After Roy and Johnny visit Mrs. Johnson at Rampart, there are three actors' tape marks visible on the floor when they walk past the nurses' station, just before Brackett, Chaplain Miller and Early stand at their marks.
Other mistake: At the end of the episode, when Roy, Johnny, and Chet are at their lockers, Roy comments that Gloria won't make the same mistake twice about the $8.42, and Chet laughs, but the subtitles read, "Marco laughing", even though Marco is not in the scene. Visible crew/equipment: When Roy tells Billy not to get out of the car because of the downed electrical wires, the outlines of the mic transmitter and wire are visible on the back of Roy's shirt.

Visible crew/equipment: After Roy and Johnny pick up supplies at the nurses' station, they walk down the hallway and stop midway to talk about Johnny's insomnia. After speaking a few moments, Johnny and Roy head for the exit, so the camera follows them without cutting away, and when a father and son enter the hospital the camera turns, without cutting away, and follows them up the hallway. Just before the father and son reach the nurses' station, the actors' two black tape mark are visible on the floor behind them, precisely where Roy and Johnny had been speaking.
Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are at the nurses' station talking about Johnny's insomnia, after Johnny signs for the supplies, as they walk away the actor's black tape mark is visible on the floor, where Roy had just been standing.
Visible crew/equipment: When the man from The Boat explosion is loaded into the ambulance, the outlines of the mic transmitter and wire are visible on the back of Roy's shirt, as he climbs in after the gurney.
Heavyweight - S3-E5
Visible crew/equipment: When Roy and Johnny are with the guy who got stuck in the tree while hang gliding, the outlines of the mic transmitters and wires are visible on the back of the victim's sweater and also the back of Johnny's shirt as he saws the branch, and then carries the victim to the Stokes.
Visible crew/equipment: When Jason prevents Johnny from falling at the rock quarry, the outline of the mic transmitter is visible on the back of Jason's shirt (left side) in the overhead shot, as he hoists Johnny onto the platform, Then just after Johnny says that they should get out of there, in the shot of Roy bending over the trapped man, the outline of the mic transmitter is visible on the back of Roy's shirt.

Visible crew/equipment: On site at the chemical leak, when Captain Stanley talks into his handie-talkie and says "Engine 36, we're not doing any good with this, let's try light water," in the next shot, while the camera pans to the right, we can see a cameraman (filming Deluge 105's closeups that we see during this scene) holding his handheld, standing in front of an engine and facing Deluge 105, just before the camera focuses on the guys with the hoses.
Answer: It is standard practice to wet down driveways so that they stand out in a long shot.
