Phoenix - S10-E3

Continuity mistake: When Gibbs visits Abbie's lab to ask about the smoke detector and computer, he finds the CPU disassembled on her table. The "hard drive" is placed on a white tray in front of the cover, which has been removed from the CPU. Initially, the hard drive is white in color. However, in the close-up shot, it turns black and looks like a different piece altogether. Furthermore, the white tray disappears, and the hard drive sits on the CPU cover. In the wide-shot, the white tray reappears, and the hard drive is again white as it was originally. (00:24:50)

Silver War - S3-E4

Continuity mistake: When inside the Smithsonian, Tony is fooling around with a bear. The baseball hats on all 3 agents have black trim on the brim, then white trim, then black trim. Zeva says her hat has a 9mm hole, and pokes a finger through a hat with a black trim. Gibbs says it is for ventilation. Then she drives home, the hats have white trim, and hers has no hole.

Jet Lag - S7-E13

Factual error: In the scene on the plane when Tony is going to inject the Epi-Pen, it shows him placing it against her thigh and pushing the trigger. In actuality, an Epi-pen is automatic and he actually pushed the end that the needle comes out of.

Trojan Horse - S4-E23

Continuity mistake: When Tony tells Ziva he won't help her track down the remaining 'Smiths', a woman in the background is walking down the stairs; as Tony stands up, she takes two steps down from the lower landing. When the camera shot changes on Tony, she's back on the landing. (00:25:15)

Family - S5-E2

Visible crew/equipment: As Gibbs, Ziva and Tony enter the Nelson home with guns drawn; just after Ziva enters, a man can be seen reflected in the door's window (Gibbs and Tony are in frame, and there is no other character there). Tony enters, then Gibbs - and we see the cameraman reflected also. (00:19:45)

Other mistake: When McGee tells Gibbs that Nelson erased his entire hard drive, the camera shows the diagnostic he is running - "Primary Drive Erased: 100%." Yet the details below show 93GB used of 111GB total, and the drive letter is G: (not C: as it would most likely be.) It could be argued that his C: drive is simply an OS drive, and G: is his data drive, but still, 93GB used is not 'erased'. (00:22:05)

In the Dark - S4-E22

Revealing mistake: When Tony is telling Gibbs & Ducky that Abby got a hit on the dead sailor's fingerprints, Gibbs takes the file from Tony; the camera shows the file, which appears to be a legitimate profile sheet, but in the comments section, is the script that Tony just read aloud. (00:07:36)

Head Case - S3-E15

Visible crew/equipment: Just near the end, as Ducky faces the other M.E. in Autopsy with his guilt, the camera shows a person reflected in the silver wall (who would be standing beside Ducky). It's not Ducky, as the M.E. is looking at and talking to Ducky with a different angle. The person appears to be dressed in medical scrubs, but the M.E. and Ducky are the only two in the room. Power Down - S7-E8

Continuity mistake: When the team finds the abandoned car from the robbery, and Tony notices the blood trail, he is initially kneeling down, then standing up. He then kneels down a second time, and then is instantly standing up again. (00:21:25)

Deliverance - S6-E15

Factual error: It is constantly mentioned that the number found at the crime scene is Gibbs' military service number. The Marine Corps stopped using service numbers on Jan. 1, 1972 and since has only used Social Security numbers for identification.

Spider and the Fly - S8-E1

Continuity mistake: Right at the end, the dying Poloma reaches up and touches her brother's right cheek. Her bloody fingers leave a trail behind. This disappears in the next shot when Alejandro turns his head to look at Gibbs.

Suggested correction: The smear is still present but due to the lighting it's difficult to see. You can see it just as he starts to turn his head to Gibbs.

Escaped - S4-E2

Continuity mistake: When Gibbs visits Ducky, and Ducky comments "I was wondering when you were going to come down and see me," Gibbs starts rubbing his beard. In the next shot, his hand is down flat on the table in front of him. (00:18:45)

Deception - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: When Tony and Abby determine where the car holding Lt. Cmdr Wilkerson hit a pair of railroad tracks, Tony has a napkin tucked into his shirt like a bib. In the next shot, the napkin has disappeared from his shirt, and he is holding it in his hand instead. (00:25:10)

See No Evil - S2-E1

[Gibbs is drinking a cup of coffee.]
Kate Todd: Gibbs, it's like one hundred degrees in here. How can you drink that stuff?
Leroy Gibbs: It keeps me cool.

Agent Afloat - S6-E2

Trivia: Season 6, "Agent Afloat": Maybe real aircraft carriers posing as fictional ones shouldn't let viewers see their registration numbers. When this episode aired, producers heard from several "carrier purists" complaining that CVN74 is the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, not the (non-existent) Seahawk.
