Continuity mistake: Just before Gina shoots Ramirez, he is holding a knife in his hand. The knife is held so that the sharp end is facing to the right, but in a close-up of the knife right before the gunshot, the sharp end is facing to the left. (00:46:40)
Continuity mistake: When the dealer runs into the bathroom after getting shot, there is a fish tank next to the door with a red ball shown in the left-hand corner. A few seconds later, when Trudy asks Crockett, "What took you so long?", the red ball is suddenly floating towards the middle of the tank and a green ball has appeared next to it. Then, a few seconds after that, when Crockett runs into the bathroom, the balls are closer to the left-hand side of the tank. (00:04:52)
Visible crew/equipment: When Mark Senior is on the phone with a client, in the shot where he asks the client, "Why don't we take a hundred thousand shares next month?", a reflector screen can be seen reflected in his glasses. (00:18:18)
Visible crew/equipment: Just before Tubbs sees the Miami Rescue Mission building, the scene opens with a car driving past the camera while Crockett and Tubbs are locking a door. When the car drives past, the camera crew can be seen reflected on it. (00:25:50)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett and Tubbs are speaking with Mark Junior while the police are loading Mary's body into the van, Mark has his hands on top of the police car. His hands move closer to one another between shots. (00:40:10)
Visible crew/equipment: When Crockett and Tubbs are driving, just as Tubbs notices Louis going into the Senator Hotel, the van driving alongside the car that is used to film the scene can be seen reflected on the side of the car. (00:23:32)
Revealing mistake: When Eddie is shot in the chest, in the shot of him falling onto the glass case, he can be seen wearing protective goggles on his face for the stunt. (00:44:30)
Continuity mistake: When Louis Martinez sees the gunman about to shoot Eddie, he straightens up and yells his name. In the wide shot, however, he is back in his previous position, silent, and then starts to straighten up again. The fact that the scene is being played in slo-mo makes it more noticeable.
Other mistake: When Tubbs and Castillo are talking in the entrance way of the Senator hotel, at the end of their dialogue Philip Michael Thomas makes a very clear gesture with his right hand, which is Don Johnson's cue to finish his phone call in the background and approach the others.

Continuity mistake: When the drugged-up man is grabbing hold of his wife, in the shot where he starts talking about pancakes to one of the hotel doors, the man has his right hand over the wife's left arm and the wife has her right hand on the man's right wrist. But in the next shot, the man's right hand is pulling on her hair and the wife has her right arm around. (00:01:02)

Continuity mistake: When the wife of the drugged-up man pushes him out of the elevator, there is a couple standing outside the elevator who get pushed to the floor. The man is lying on the left, while the woman is lying on the right. When the shot cuts, the woman is on the left and the man is on the right. (00:02:48)

Visible crew/equipment: Just after the assassin has killed himself, Castillo stands up. A few seconds after he stands, the shadow of the boom mic can be seen moving across the bottom right-hand side of the frame. (00:46:07)
Continuity mistake: When Castillo first sees May's son, she says, "He's my son, I'm married now," while rubbing her hand on his shoulder. When she finishes the line, her hand is over the front and back of his shoulder. When the shot cuts, her hand is only over the front side of his shoulder. (00:18:20)
Continuity mistake: When Dale gets out of the helicopter after arriving at Lao Li's house, he is wearing a light grey blazer with dark trousers and is holding a beige briefcase. A few seconds later, when he is speaking with Li, the blazer he is wearing is a darker shade of grey, the trousers are the same colour as his blazer, and the beige briefcase is now a black portfolio case. Continuity mistake: When Dale and Li are talking at Li's house, there is a pen on top of the folder that Dale has on the table. The pen changes position between shots. (00:23:30)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett and Tubbs confront Dale in his home, he puts on a robe after getting out of the bed. In the shot where Dale says, "What's that got to do with me? Get the hell out of here," his chest is covered by the robe. The shot cuts to Crockett, but when it cuts back to Dale, his chest is exposed. His chest remains exposed for some time, but when Crockett says, "You can kiss all of this goodbye," his chest is covered again, before being exposed when the shot cuts. (00:37:35 - 00:38:10)
