Continuity mistake: When Crockett throws the bag of food to Elvis, Elvis is lying down. Then, in the shot of Elvis grabbing the bag with his teeth, he is sitting up. Then, in the shot after that, he is lying down again. (00:13:58)

Continuity mistake: When Castillo is speaking with Crockett and Tubbs in his office, he picks up a small object from his desk. When Crockett and Tubbs leave the office, he is holding it with two hands and then removes his left hand from it. But in the next shot, he is holding it with two hands again. (00:07:30)

Deliberate mistake: Before breaking into Amato's house, Lester tells Crockett and Tubbs that they will have thirty seconds to shut off the alarm after opening the door. However, it takes the trio much longer than thirty seconds to find the alarm and disable it. The alarm is disabled much closer to fifty seconds after they open the door. (00:08:56 - 00:10:00)

Continuity mistake: When Lester finishes picking the lock, he reaches for the handle while facing the door directly. The shot then cuts, and he has rotated 90 degrees to the right before opening the door. (00:09:08)
Visible crew/equipment: When Crockett and Tubbs are chasing after the suspect in the bank centre, just after they run up the escalator, they continue running across the office floor. When this happens, the camera crew can be seen reflected in the window that they run past. (00:00:55)
Audio problem: When Tubbs meets up with Crockett on his boat after meeting with McCarthy and Gifford, the two have a small exchange before the scene ends. The dialogue appears to have been dubbed over as their mouths don't match the audio heard. (00:08:53)
Character mistake: While at the party at McCarthy's house, Crockett tells McCarthy that he wants to participate in the yacht race that is taking place tomorrow. The following day, Gina and Trudy make an arrest at the beach, which Crockett helps with, and the following evening, Tubbs and Vanessa spend the night together. Then the day after that, the yacht race takes place. This means that the yacht race couldn't have taken place "tomorrow" as Crockett stated and instead took place the day after tomorrow. (00:21:57)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett offers McCarthy his Ferrari if he beats him at a game of pool, he takes the keys to the car out of his pocket. When he takes out the keys, his thumb and index finger are pressed against the keys, while his three other fingers are pressed against each other. When the shot cuts, the three other fingers are stretched apart from one another. (00:22:13)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett and McCarthy are playing pool, there is one shot where Crockett pockets the yellow ball. A few seconds later, there is a shot where the yellow ball can be seen on the pool table, and it is used to pocket the red ball. A few seconds after that, there is a shot where the yellow ball is pocketed a second time and then pocketed a third time two shots after that. (00:23:10)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett and Tubbs are driving to Okeechobee, the two fishing rods in the back of the car are white. When they arrive in Okeechobee, the fishing rods are black. (00:11:15 - 00:12:52)
Continuity mistake: When Crockett tells Bramlette that he is going to be in the courtroom on Monday, Bramlette asks him and Tubbs, "Why do you people think you're here?" and then lowers his arm. When the shot cuts, his right hand is raised. Then, in the next shot, it is lowered. (00:26:50)
Continuity mistake: Crockett sits down next to Tubbs while Tubbs slaps a fly on his neck. When Crockett sits down, he puts his hand over his face, with his fingers at an elevated angle. When the shot cuts, his fingers are at a horizontal angle. (00:30:37)
Continuity mistake: An old man puts some food on his fork and puts the fork in his mouth to eat it. The shot cuts to Crockett and Tubbs, where Tubbs asks the man a question, but when the shot cuts back to the old man, there is now new food on his fork, despite the man not being shown putting food on the fork. Visible crew/equipment: When Crockett and Tubbs are being escorted by boat to Bramlette's hideout by his wife Cassie, in a shot from the riverbank you see that Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas have been replaced by doubles. Although their backs are to the camera, it's plain to see that they look nothing like the actors who they're replacing. Especially Crockett's.
