Continuity mistake: When Libby kisses Hurley at the cliff, there is a strand of Libby's hair which you can see hanging freely over her left cheek when the camera is on Hurley. When the camera is on Libby you see the same strand pinched between their heads. Then as the camera switches back on Hurley the strand hangs freely again. It's not possible that this happened only through the force of wind as their heads are stuck together quite tightly throughout the whole kiss.
Continuity mistake: In S.O.S., Locke is trying to remember the map he saw on the blast door. He ignores the blaring alarm until Jack reminds him, and Locke inputs the code and hits EXECUTE. The camera cuts to a shot of the numbers resetting, and then back to Locke, and he takes his finger off the EXECUTE button a second time.
Continuity mistake: In episode 2-19 SOS When Bernard is talking to Rose after she questions him in front of the group about his "sign" when the close ups are on Bernard you can see that it is raining quite heavily in the background, but when it's close up on Rose it is not raining. It doesn't begin to rain in the episode until much later.
Visible crew/equipment: As Locke and Eko descend down the hatch a safety cable can be seen supporting Locke.
Continuity mistake: When Locke and Mr. Eko watch the Orientation video in the pearl station Dr Chang has both arms and the screens behind him show people working in the swan hatch. His arm was badly damaged in the incident before the swan hatch was built and he should.have had a prosthetic arm when the pearl video was made.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 1 - S2-E23
Continuity mistake: In Episode 2-23 Live Together, Die Alone When Mr Eko runs out of the hatch when John and Desmond are faking a lock down, you see Eko put his club in his belt right in the front of his pants. In the next scene as he passes out of the door the club is gone and then when he runs back to the door as it is closing he is holding it in his hand as he drops it and it falls under the door.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 1 - S2-E23
Factual error: The prison Desmond is released from looks nothing like any British prison, let alone the British military prison (the "Glasshouse"), which is more of a training camp than a traditional prison. The guards wear no cap badges on their berets (all British service personnel wear cap badges) and their berets are worn almost vertically on their heads, whereas British berets are pulled hard to the right. The NCO who releases him is credited as a "master sergeant" in the episode credits - an American rank which has never been used in the British Army.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: As they are walking through the jungle, Sawyer goes to pick up a doll. He reaches down and nearly touches the doll. But in the next shot Kate grabs his arm, to stop him, before he even bends over. (00:18:00)
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: The woman from Desmond's photo is totally different the second time we see it, but Desmond and the background are exactly the same as before.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Revealing mistake: After Sawyer has been shot with the syringe thing (I'm not sure if Kate had been shot yet) Jack fires his gun five or six times into the jungle. The last few times he fires it there is no flash or any indication that the gun has been fired.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: Right at the start of the final episode in season two, Sayid is walking with Jack and he is holding a torch in his right hand. The camera angle changes and the torch has jumped into his left hand.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: In '?' when Locke put his map of the stations in the chute, it was not folded. However, when Sawyer finds it in this episode, it is folded.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: Penny's letter to Desmond changes as he reads it. The text stays the same, but the handwriting and position of the words on the page change between the two shots where you can see the letter from the front. Also, for the audience the letter is read aloud with Penny's voice. Interesting is the fact that there is one sentence omitted: "Sorry to be so dramatic, but these are dramatic times, are they not?" (You can read this sentence in both "versions" of the letter though).
Answer: He was eating a peice of an orange with the skin still on.
