It's like the camera was cracked or something was stuck to it. When the camera angle changes it's gone, but is there where the camera is back on Monk.

Other mistake: At the end, when they're putting Kris in the cop car, you can see the car numbers don't match. On the door it's listed as car number "664", but on the roof it's is number "32" something.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, when the woman comes out of the room, you can see the rug in the hallway. But in the next shot, there's two plastic runners over the rug. It alternates from being there to not depending on the camera angle.

Continuity mistake: When Ruskin and Monk are tussling with each other, the gun falls onto the wipers, with the barrel touching the wiper and handle up. The next time we see the gun, the handle is down and touching the wiper. It keeps flipping back and forth in various shots.

Continuity mistake: When Natalie and Al are struggling, the gun lands on the table and there's a basket of corks. Somehow when Al gets the gun, the basket is tipped over and the corks are on the table. But after Monk hits Al, the corks are all back in the basket, which is upright.

Continuity mistake: At the end when the Captain is given his pants, he unfolds the newspaper and turns it right side up. In the next shot, he's turning it right side up again.

Character mistake: Monk says that Croatia is a new country and didn't exist until 1992, but Croatia gained independence in 1991. However, Croatia still existed prior to that, it was just part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. So things could still be made in Croatia.

Continuity mistake: In the pet store, the bird's cage has a plastic covering on the sides. But in various shots, either one or both coverings are missing.
Suggested correction: This is wrong, it was just the way the camera angle made the cage appear where I couldn't differentiate the space between the bars, so it looked like there must have been a covering.
