Continuity mistake: When Jaime's elevator begins to freefall at high speed, the floor indicator shows it dropping from the 20th to the 16th floor. The scene cuts to Jaime struggling to save herself for several seconds as the elevator supposedly plummets rapidly. However, in the next shot, the indicator only reads the 15th floor.

Revealing mistake: The bad guys knock out the night watchman and drag him across the floor. Moments later, his foot and body are moving upward as if the actor stood up and walked away.
Continuity mistake: When Max bites off Jaime's handcuffs, Callahan's hand is either on the armrest or on the seat.
Revealing mistake: When Jaime fights against the shark using a metal bar, a yellow security rope tied around the shark's fin is visible. In further shots, the rope disappears.
Audio problem: Jaime and the group of scuba divers are able to keep a conversation underwater despite having tubes in their mouths.
Continuity mistake: The pillow behind Ritter changes between shots. Also, his head is tilted to the right and, a shot later, to the left. (00:21:25)
Continuity mistake: When Oscar and Jaime arrive at the pier, the road is wet. A shot later, it's dry.
Visible crew/equipment: When the scuba divers enter the water, the reflection of the glass protecting the camera is visible.
Continuity mistake: Dr. Klempt reaches for the tape recorder with his right hand, but in the close-up it's the left. (00:04:19)
Continuity mistake: When the alien scans the object from the lake, his thumb is right next to the lights on the remote. In the close-up, it's away from the lights. (00:27:48)
Continuity mistake: When the aliens retrieve the object from the lake and place it on the ground, it appears clean and shiny. In the next shot, its position has shifted; it's now suddenly covered in mud and sand, and the ground around it has been disturbed.
Other mistake: After the aliens fire, the soldiers drop instantly and the aliens walk toward them. Oddly, the next shot repeats the end of the previous one, showing the soldier's arm falling to the ground again. (00:26:35)
Character mistake: When the aliens fire and knock out the soldiers, the one on the left extends his right hand to ensure a safe fall despite being unconscious.
Continuity mistake: After the alien struggles with the dog and Jaime runs to grab the gun, its position changes between cuts, plus broken dishes appear next to the alien.
Revealing mistake: Jaime launches a trunk at the alien, who falls and breaks a beam. The pre-cut section of the beam is very obvious.
Revealing mistake: When Jaime breaks the table in two, the pre-cut section is visible.
Revealing mistake: When the dog jumps on the alien, the actor is replaced by an obvious stuntman (or animal trainer).
