Casual Person

Correction: First, his name is Broderick. However, he's simply not LeVar's (Freight Train) son. Since Broderick and Cleveland have the same mother, they're still brothers.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Taylor got shot in the neck. Before his neck is bandaged, his neck is shown to have blood on it, but no bullet hole from where the ape shot him. (00:34:15)

Casual Person

Correction: No bullet hole because the shot severely grazed his neck. If he had been shot through the neck, there's an almost certainty he could have bled out, or paralyzed.

Movie Nut

Corrected entry: The king nor his army ever seem to see the huge beanstalk when they find Jack and never realise it until Jack points it out. The beanstalk was too big for them to miss. One should have at least noticed the beanstalk on their way over there.

Casual Person

Correction: They did notice the bean stalk. That is why he is out with his army.

Corrected entry: After the mob walks away from the wreckage of the Simpsons' house, Colin then knocks on the dome glass and a knocking sound is heard. Colin begins to play a song on his guitar and then the sound of the guitar can't be heard, despite the fact that we just heard him knock on the glass. (00:36:15)

Casual Person

Correction: The sound of the knocking was heard because Colin directly touched the glass so the vibrations could get through easily. However, when he was playing the guitar, he was standing further away so the vibrations had to travel through the air and then the glass.

Corrected entry: Near the end of Katniss' and President Snow's first conversation, Snow shows Katniss a white rose. In the first shot, the finger next to his thumb is placed half way up the rose stem, but in the next shot, the finger next to his thumb is suddenly placed almost at the bottom of the stem. (00:09:55)

Casual Person

Correction: In the first shot of President Snow holding the rose, his hand blocks you seeing where his thumb is and the stem is not visible beneath his hand. So it's impossible to say if he is holding it in the middle or at the bottom.

Grand Theft Auto V

Corrected entry: Mr. Phillips: When Trevor, Ron and Wade are chasing down the van and the two bikers in Trevor's truck, Trevor will at one point say, "We can't fuck with the van, but we can drop those bikers." However, if the two bikers are killed before Trevor even says the line, Trevor will still stay "We can't fuck with the van, but we can drop those bikers", despite the bikers already being dead. Trevor can still say this line even with only one of the bikers dead, and it still would make no sense because he says "bikers" in the line, referring to two people.

Casual Person

Correction: In all 3 situation, the phrase "we can drop those bikers" makes sense. Either in the future sense where they have the option and ability is to kill the bikers. This is like saying "the road to the right is blocked, but 'we can' go left." Or in the past tense where "we can" is used in slang to indicate they were able to kill the bikers. This would be like saying of a baseball player "he's not fast, but 'he can' hit!" If only one biker is killed, "we can" would mean the outcome of killing a biker was uncertain, but then confirmed, so they can proceed to kill the bikers.

The Hawking Excitation - S5-E21

Corrected entry: Stephen Hawking tells Sheldon he made an arithmetic mistake on page 2 of his paper. Sheldon then quickly turns pages on his paper to find the error, but Sheldon turns several pages of his paper, way past the second page, and still finds the error Stephen had noted.

Casual Person

Correction: Scientific papers number their pages differently to how one would assume. There are pages before page 1 begins which are often numbered using Roman numerals. Therefore Sheldon is correct in turning several pages to find page 2.

Divergent (2014)

Corrected entry: When Eric first introduces himself to the Dauntless initiates, there is a guy to the right of Eric leaning against the brick wall. In the next shot, the leaning guy has suddenly moved closer to Eric. (00:23:45)

Casual Person

Correction: He hasn't really moved closer. You can tell from the section of the roof, he's on the 5th section away from Eric and when the camera cuts to being on the roof, you can tell he's still the 5th section away from Eric.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: Cade, Shane and Bumblebee are in the room with the cars in the KSI building, and Bumblebee is stressing out. Joshua Joyce then appears with a tour group and confronts Cade and Shane to not make any mistakes, then leaves with the rest of the tour group. Bumblebee then, very loudly, transforms back into his Autobot self. There is no way Joyce could not have overheard this. He had only walked behind a small screen and was only a few meters away. Considering Joyce is power hungry and had just had a go at Cade and Shane for messing with the cars a few seconds ago, the most realistic thing for him to have done was go back and see what had happened if he had heard this. (01:06:50)

Casual Person

Correction: We don't know the layout of interior, maybe they tour group had to pass through a door way into another room. The large area appeared to be a testing/demonstration room of some kind, so it's not out of the question that it was insulated for sound to prevent any loud noises during demonstrations from causing a ruckus elsewhere in the facility. Also, we don't know exactly how far away Joyce and his tour group were, they may very likely have carried on with the tour and gotten quite a distance away from that room.

Pilot - S1-E1

Corrected entry: When Coulson, Ward and Hill are watching the video of Mike saving the woman from the burning building, as the shot cuts to Coulson saying "A little present from Rising Tide", there is a long reflection of his watch coming from a light. Coulson doesn't move in the next shot. But the reflection has gone when the shot cuts back to him. (00:08:25)

Casual Person

Correction: His wrist would need to move only a very tiny amount to change the angle of reflection entirely, making it disappear.

Gravity (2013)

Corrected entry: When Ryan is in the Soyuz capsule, several items are seen inside the capsule. For example, sticky notes, pens, guides to using the capsule, fire extinguisher, etc. When Ryan discovers she needs to get rid of the parachute in order for the Soyuz capsule to leave, Ryan puts on a space suit, opens the airlock and removes the ropes connecting to the parachute. After the debris storm, Ryan returns to the Soyuz capsule and it can be noticed all of the items are still there inside the capsule. Wouldn't these items have been sucked into the vacuum of space when Ryan released the airlock earlier on? After all, there is nothing restraining them. (00:53:30)

Casual Person

Correction: No, because she could not just open the hatch without equalizing the pressure first. Other wise it would have been very dangerous and sucked her out, potentially damaging her suit in the process and having her lose control and be sucked out into space. Before opening the hatch, she had to either compress the air in the capsule back into the ship air storage, or have the air pumped out into space slowly to not affect the inside of the ship. Thus when she opens the hatch, the pressure was equal to zero, with no air to rush out, taking any items with it.

Quantom X

Actually yes, if the door was open air would rush out. Pressure being equal to zero doesn't create a wall, or barrier of any kind that keeps the air from rushing, and taking items with it.

If pressure is zero then there is no air that would rush out.

The Simpsons Game (2007)

Corrected entry: Bargain Bin: As Bart looks up the Simpsons Game cheat guide on the internet, Homer budges in, opens the DVD player and places a Duff can on top of it. No one ever touches the DVD player, but it starts to close anyway.

Casual Person

Correction: Many DVD player types, especially newer ones, will automatically shut on its own after a bit of time to prevent dust getting in. Some even after just a very short time.

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Corrected entry: When Lucy chooses Gru, she runs to release the airlock from the plane. After she unlocks it, the door opens, but everything remains entirely still, despite the sudden drop in pressure. (01:05:35)

Casual Person

Correction: That's because there is no drop in pressure. Since Lucy can breathe without a problem when exiting the aircraft it must be below its pressurisation height of 12.000 ft. This ignores the fact that you are watching a film which relies upon a woman carrying a hang-glider in her handbag.

Corrected entry: The cost of one ball of dark matter at Mombil is shown to cost $9.99 per ball and the total price costs $632.14. If you were to divide $9.99 by $632.14, the result would come out as 63.2772772773, making the total price cost impossible. (00:04:15)

Casual Person

Correction: First off, the price is $9.999/ball (a minor correction but important for the gasoline joke Futurama makes). It's possible she got charged tax that wasn't included in the $9.999 price.

The Frying Game - S13-E21

Corrected entry: When Homer and Marge find Mrs. Bellamy's body, the body is shown to be neatly placed on the ground with Bellamy lying on her back. Homer then lifts up the body and it is shown that there is a pair of scissors stuck in her back. If scissors were stabbed in her back, then this means it wouldn't be possible for the body to be neatly placed on the floor lying on her back, as the scissors would cause the body to push upwards. (00:09:50)

Casual Person

Correction: Since the murder was revealed as a hoax at the end of the episode, the scissors were probably fake as well.

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Corrected entry: Silas shows Gru the Research Facility's video footage of the scientists experimenting the PX-41 on the rabbit and the rabbit then killing the two scientists next to him. The shot of the footage is shown zooming in and out a few times, implying someone is filming it. The cameraman advances over the edge of the desk, the rabbit leaps over and the footage turns to static, which then implies the camera it was filmed on was destroyed by the rabbit's attack and the cameraman was killed. Yet somehow the filmed footage somehow remains completely safe despite this savage attack from the rabbit. The footage was safe as it was currently being presented to Gru. (00:13:45)

Casual Person

Correction: The rabbit presumably destroyed the camera, but that doesn't mean the rabbit did any damage at all to the cartridge or memory card inside the camera. It's also a possibility that the camera was a mounted camera being remotely controlled from a safe location where the footage was being recorded. Or that the camera's footage was being recorded live at an alternate location, even if the camera was operated manually. Basically, there are a multitude of reasons why this footage would still be available.

Phixius

Corrected entry: In "The Wolverine", the Silver Samurai completely melted out Wolverine's adamantium claws and his bone claws returned. Yet in the scenes in this movie that take place after these events, Wolverine is shown back with his adamantium claws.

Casual Person

Correction: The only scenes set after The Wolverine are set many years in the future, with plenty of time for Wolverine to have had the adamantium reapplied to his claws.

Prometheus (2012)

Corrected entry: Just after the Prometheus destroys itself by driving into the alien ship, the alien ship lands on the ground and the ship starts falling onto Elizabeth and Meredith. They start running directly away from the ship as fast as they can, but in exactly the same direction in which it's falling. If they had ran in literally any other direction, they would be perfectly safe within seconds.

Casual Person

Correction: There is no way they could have known the ship was going to "roll" in that direction. We only know this in hindsight. The ship could have easily fallen sideways and the direction they ran would have worked out.

Oblivion (2013)

Corrected entry: Drone 109 exits the garage after being disconnected and makes its way up to Tech 49 to kill Jack and Victoria. The drone doesn't hesitate a bit to kill Victoria, so why does the drone just waste 20 seconds entering the house and approaching Jack instead of just killing him straight away? (01:10:30)

Casual Person

Correction: The drone is attempting to fire on Jack immediately, You can see the guns moving, but the drone is malfunctioning (maybe because it's not fully charged?). Before it gets a chance to recharge, Julia destroys it with the bubble ship guns.
