Ghostbusters 2 released 5 years after the original film, the 2016 film released 27 years after Ghostbusters 2, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife released 5 years after the 2016 film.

Science/Fiction - S2-E5

Trivia: We learn in this episode that prior to being abducted by the TVA, Casey was an inmate at Alcatraz named Frank. This is Frank Morris, whose story was the subject of the 1979 film Escape from Alcatraz, starring Clint Eastwood. He and two of his fellow inmates managed to escape the prison, but were never seen again, with one accepted theory being that they drowned in San Francisco Bay. His TVA abduction here provides an in-universe explanation for his disappearance.

Trivia: SPOILER: The mid-credits scene sees Kelsey Grammer reprising his role as Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy/Beast for the first time since 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past. His remarks that Monica Rambeau has entered a parallel universe, along with the set design, suggest that the Fox X-Men films are now canonically part of the MCU multiverse (Patrick Stewart's appearance as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness never really touched on this).

Stormy Weather - S3-E16

Trivia: Will Friedle was forced by the network to cut his hair ahead of filming this episode, as they felt it was getting too long. Director Jeff McCracken knew how upset Friedle was about this, so he went home and cut his own hair to make him feel better.

Trivia: An Iron Man film was in development at Fox in the mid-90s with Tom Cruise eyed for the lead role. The film never came to fruition, partly because the technology required to adapt the character to screen wasn't there yet, but also because Cruise's asking fee to star in it was not a price the studio was willing to risk on a largely unknown character.

Trivia: Zawe Ashton, who plays Dar-Benn, the film's main antagonist, actually dressed up as Captain Marvel for Halloween in 2019. Her fiancé, Tom Hiddleston, best known for playing Loki in the MCU, dressed up as Daredevil, while Daredevil actor Charlie Cox dressed up as Loki.

Trivia: Will Friedle and Anthony Tyler Quinn were overjoyed that Kimberly Scott was guest starring in this episode, as they are big fans of The Abyss, which she was in. They even brought in their LaserDisc copies of the film for her to sign.

Trivia: A teacher at a Miami charter school showed this film to his 4th-grade class. He allowed them to select the film they wanted to watch, and they picked this, with nobody realising it was a horror film. Apparently, the movie played for over 20 minutes before the teacher shut it off, despite earlier protests from his students about its content.

Trivia: According to new reports, the real reason Matthew Vaughn left this film is because he found a large script featuring a scene in Africa with Storm ending a drought for thirsty villagers. The executives told him that was a fake script to entice Halle Berry into remaining in the film. Vaughn was disgusted with their duplicity and exited the project.

Trivia: This film nearly had a completely different story. Marvel originally wanted Kraven to be the main antagonist, but Sony refused, as they wanted to establish Kraven in his own upcoming solo film before allowing him to appear in an MCU film. The Kraven film in question ended up being a major box office bomb, and currently stands as the final film in Sony's shared universe of films featuring Spider-Man adjacent characters.
