Trivia: Knull co-creator Ryan Stegman was annoyed that the character was written into this film without his knowledge or input. Sony extended an olive branch to Stegman by giving him a screening of the film, which he ended up enjoying.

Clerks (1994)

Trivia: While appearing on a talk show in London, Samuel L. Jackson was asked if there were any directors he's never worked with, but would like to. Knowing George Lucas was on the verge of making this film, he said he'd like to be in a Star Wars film. Jackson was later in Vallejo, CA, working on Sphere, which was shooting down the street from Skywalker Ranch. He received a message that Lucas heard he was interested in being in this film and invited him to come to the ranch to discuss it.

Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Trivia: Samuel L. Jackson auditioned for a role in this film. He attended the film's Sundance screening and ran into Quentin Tarantino, who remembered him. He secured the part after running into Geena Davis and director Renny Harlin at a Christmas party. Jackson told Harlin that the studio wouldn't let him have the part, and Harlin cast him on the spot.

Deep Blue Sea (1999)

Trivia: According to Thomas Jane, the studio held a sneak screening of this film in New York before its premiere, and when Samuel L. Jackson is eaten by a shark in the middle of giving a motivational speech, the movie was inaudible for the next few minutes because the audience was losing their minds. The reaction prompted studio execs to try to put more money into the film's advertising, but by that time, it was too late.

Night of the Sentinels: Part 1 - S1-E1

Trivia: The beginning of this series sees a young mutant serving as a proxy for the audience, where they discover their mutant powers, try to elude sinister forces that are after them, and meet and later join the X-Men along the way. Showrunner Larry Houston claims director Bryan Singer borrowed this idea for the first X-Men film, substituting Rogue for Jubilee.

Trivia: Ciara and Paddy are mentioned as having been together for 17 years. If we grant that the characters are the same age as the actors portraying them, that would have made her around 13 or 14 when they first got together, which would suggest that she was the child of one of Paddy's earlier victims and would give credence to her defensive plea to Louise late in the film that she was a victim just like the protagonists.
