Morbius (2022)

Plot hole: When Agents Stroud and Rodriguez attempt to arrest Morbius, he evades them by rapidly flying up to the roof from the building's ground floor. Then when Morbius unsuccessfully tries to fly off the roof, Agent Stroud has somehow already made it to the roof to apprehend him, even though Morbius had only been on the roof for a few moments.

Cobweb (2023)

Plot hole: Peter's sister has the strength to rip people apart with her bare hands, but somehow wasn't able to break down doors while pursuing Peter or Ms. Devine, or even break down the walls she was imprisoned behind (Ms. Devine broke apart one of those walls with a fireplace poker).

Dexter (2006)

Remember the Monsters? - S8-E12

Plot hole: In order to elude Elway at the airport, Dexter fills a backpack with random items and leaves it unattended under a seat, and then tells a desk clerk that he saw Elway deliberately put the backpack there and walk away, which leads to security detaining Elway and the airport being evacuated. Airports have security cameras everywhere, so security would have reviewed the footage and seen Dexter was the one who placed the bag there. They then would have gone through all security footage since he entered the airport in order to deduce his identity and then located and arrested him.

Dexter (2006)

Remember the Monsters? - S8-E12

Plot hole: A couple episodes prior, Deputy Marshal Clayton stated that he shared Hannah's picture everywhere after receiving a tip that she may be in Miami. In the same episode, Hannah was spotted at a hospital and Clayton was called in about it. This should have only increased public awareness concerning her, but at the beginning of this episode, she somehow made it through airport security and all the way to her gate before spotting Elway and hiding from him in the ladies room.

X-Men (1992)

Savage Land, Strange Heart (1) - S3-E8

Plot hole: When Kazar discovers that Sauron is really his friend Karl Lykos, Lykos reveals that he was turned into Sauron by Mr. Sinister. However, in the season 2 episode Mojovision when Sauron was attacking Shana, Magneto already knew who Sauron was. Magneto was the master of the Savage Land mutates years before Mr. Sinister was and hadn't been to the Savage Land for many years before then, so if Magneto already knew who Sauron was, then it couldn't have been Mr. Sinister who created him. Dexter (2006)

Are You...? - S7-E1

Plot hole: It's out of character and against his code for Dexter to kill Viktor at the airport. Airports have security cameras everywhere (you can see one on the ceiling when he is wheeling Viktor into the unclaimed baggage storage), and using the unclaimed baggage storage as the kill room is equally unwise, because any airport employee could walk in at anytime and catch him red-handed. Dexter was caught murdering Travis Marshall by Deb just hours before, so if anything, he should be even more cautious.

Days of Future Past: Part 2 - S1-E12

Plot hole: When Gambit charges an object with kinetic energy, it makes a high-pitched sound. When he places a charged card on the arcade game to use as a trap, Wolverine should have heard it, as he possesses a superhuman sense of hearing, especially since Gambit muted the TV. (00:09:28)

Iron Man (1994)

Empowered - S2-E10

Plot hole: When Mandarin is using his power rings to see the different kinds of suits that Iron Man has built, all the footage is clips of Iron Man using different suits in previous episodes. Assuming the rings had the power to do that, then they should also be able to show Mandarin that Iron Man is Tony Stark, because if they have the power to show Iron Man using different armors down to the most minute detail, then they should also be able to show him removing his armor to reveal Tony Stark underneath. Not to mention that H.O.M.E.R. frequently refers to Iron Man as "Mr. Stark" when communicating with him.

Show generally

Plot hole: This series is in the same continuity as the other Marvel animated series that aired around the same time - X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Fantastic Four - by virtue of each aforementioned show crossing over with at least one of the other shows. However, the origin of the Leader in this show is inconsistent with his origin in Iron Man. In the Iron Man episode "Hulk Buster," which originally aired on February 10, 1996, Samuel Sterns became the Leader after a barrel of gamma waste fell over and spilled its contents onto him. In this show, which didn't air its first episode until September 8, 1996, Samuel Sterns became the Leader after he sabotaged Bruce Banner's gamma bomb test and fell into a pit of radioactive waste caused by the bomb. Rick Jones' role in Banner being exposed to the gamma bomb is different as well. In Iron Man, he parks his jeep in the test area and casually plays a harmonica. Here, he is riding his motorcycle through the test area and crashes, and is unable to restart his motorcycle in order to get clear of the blast.

Spider-Man (1994)

Six Forgotten Warriors Chapter 5: The Price of Heroism - S5-E6

Plot hole: This series is in the same continuity as the other Marvel animated series from around the same time - X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and Fantastic Four - by virtue of each aforementioned show crossing over with at least one of the others. This episode, which originally aired on October 17, 1997, establishes that Captain America had spent the last 50 years locked in another dimension with Red Skull, and the episode ends with he and Red Skull once again becoming trapped in the aforementioned dimension. However, the final episode of Fantastic Four, entitled "Doomsday," which originally aired on February 24, 1996, features a cameo by Captain America in the present day, attempting to stop a rampaging Dr. Doom.

When Calls Galactus - S2-E8

Plot hole: When Frankie tries to get Johnny to chase her out into space, he tells her he can't follow and warns her to turn back due to the thin atmosphere not being able to keep their flame powers active, and indeed her flames die out, and she begins falling back to Earth. However, several minutes later in the episode, both of them are just outside of the Earth when Terrax arrives, and again at the end after she becomes the new herald of Galactus, Johnny follows her into space well beyond Earth before his flames die out. Worlds Within Worlds - S2-E5

Plot hole: After Psycho-Man, disguised as Reed, lures Sue away from the outdoor tables of the cafe where she was dining with Alicia, Johnny and the real Reed walk up to Alicia a mere three seconds later and ask where Sue is. Reed and Johnny should have easily seen Psycho-Man impersonating Reed and walking away with Sue, because they approached Alicia from the street, it's not like they turned the corner out of some alley. Iron Man (1994)

The Wedding of Iron Man - S1-E13

Plot hole: When Mandarin is concluding that Tony Stark and Iron Man are one and the same, he is watching video footage of when he had Tony Stark captive, and Tony first constructed the Iron Man armor and used a dummy that looked like himself in order to fool Mandarin into thinking that Iron Man was rescuing Tony Stark from captivity. If Mandarin had video footage of Tony Stark in that room where he organized his own rescue, then he also would have had footage of Tony Stark constructing the dummy of himself in the first place, and thus would have known Stark was Iron Man from the get go. The Silver Surfer & the Return of Galactus - S1-E13

Plot hole: The Fantastic Four fly into space in their Fantasticar, and they are not wearing spacesuits or helmets. Even more baffling is after they enter Galactus' ship, they put spacesuits and helmets on, so they can prepare for "spacewalking." They may have super powers, but they still need to breathe oxygen to live, so being in the vacuum of space without any proper suits should have killed them. The Fantasticar later in the episode shows that each seat has the capability of being sealed with an airtight bubble covering, but they didn't show those being used when they were flying in space. Superskrull - S1-E7

Plot hole: When Thing clobbers Super Skrull with the palm tree, Super Skrull flies back into the arms of Reed, who has disguised himself as a palm tree. While Reed can use his stretching ability to change his facial appearance, he can't change the color of his costume to cause his body to resemble a tree trunk and his arms and hands to resemble palm leaves. The Origin of the Fantastic Four: Part 2 - S1-E2

Plot hole: When Thing breaks down Puppet Master's secret door, the heroes see that he is already in a helicopter flying away. Since the secret door lead directly to the outside of the building, and they were a couple floors up, there would have been nowhere for a helicopter to be waiting for Puppet Master to climb into. Darkness and Light: Part 1 - S1-E11

Plot hole: When Hulk and Banner have been physically separated by the nutrient bath, they are both wearing tattered pants. Given that Hulk and Banner were previously occupying the same body, this should not be possible. Hulk was the one that went into the nutrient bath, so if Banner's body was separated from Hulk, then Banner should be naked.

Suggested correction: It was done deliberately as a form of censorship. They didn't want to show Bruce's genitals.

Explaining why the mistake occurred doesn't invalidate it. Unless you're suggesting the nutrient bath also was able to duplicate the pants.

Bishop73

I am not. I am just explaining the reason behind this error.

Do you have a source for this explanation? If not, I would call it conjecture and while it doesn't invalidate the mistake, it does change it to a deliberate mistake if true.

ctown28

You realise a character can be drawn naked without actually showing their genitals (and/or breasts in the case of women), right? The Little Mermaid is a good example of this.
