Saw V (2008)

Question: In the beginning sequence when Riggs is in the cube with water pouring in, it is leaking through the bottom. Why does he just not pull the rubber gasket from around his neck and allow the water to flow out?

Answer: Due to the circumstances it is safe to say that it is unlikely, Strahm (Not Rigg) would not have noticed that. Plus having followed the Jigsaw case carefully he would have known that Jigsaw or Hoffman would not allow him to escape that easily.

Family Guy (1999)

Show generally

Question: I saw an episode on FOX the other night where Peter flew around the world delivering packages and getting smarter the more he travelled. When I pressed the (i) button on my TV remote for info on the episode it said it was from series 13, however I own series 13 on DVD and that episode is not on there. I had never seen the episode before. So my question is this: are the seasons labelled differently on TV as opposed to the DVDs or is it a difference in the way countries label seasons, as I live in the UK not the US?

strikeand

Chosen answer: This is down to a difference between countries. I am also UK based and had this problem. What the UK considers a series of Family Guy is different to what the US considers. Another example is Series 6 in the UK features an episode called Saving Private Bryan. However, under the US listings (on IMDB) it comes up as series 5.

Question: Why is Harry not punished by Snape for almost killing Malfoy in the bathroom?

bomberswarm2

Chosen answer: Snape wants to know how Harry knew Sectum Sempra. As shown by him using Occumelancy to see where his copy of Advanced Potion making is. But at the same time, if Snape punished Harry for a spell in a book, Harry could show it to Dumbledore, who would recognise Snape's handwriting. Additionally, Harry was certainly punished in the book - he got detention with Snape every Saturday for the rest of the term. The movie most likely had to cut this for time issues, and also perhaps because the scene is more dramatic if Snape only silently glares at him.

Family Guy (1999)

Chosen answer: It's a play on words. Instead of eggs Benedict, he says Megs Benedict.

Ssiscool

Answer: It's because the sauce Carter drinks is the same sauce they put on eggs Benedict, so when he puked on her she was covered in the sauce.

Fast Five (2011)

Chosen answer: At the end of the film the girl in his car says "I thought you wanted to go to Tokyo?" to which he replies "Yeah, we will. Soon" Indicating this film took place before Tokyo Drift.

Ssiscool

Answer: In the overall timeline of all the films, the events of Tokyo Drift take place after the events of Fast and Furious 6. However, there is obviously something major involving Han coming in Fast and Furious 9 (2021) given what's seen in the trailer.

Answer: First of all, F4, F5 and F6 all take place before Tokyo Drift. In F9, it is revealed that Han has been alive this whole time and had gone into hiding after working with Mr. Nobody.

Death Race (2008)

Question: When the Death Race is being aired, it describes it as having 100 different angles, including angles from inside the driver's car, but Jason Statham's character, imitating Frankenstein, has his masks off, and doesn't have a face "ruined by crashes so he has to wear a mask". Surely if anyone viewed this angle, they could see it wasn't really Frankenstein at all?

JonTheRandom

Chosen answer: The cameras INSIDE the car are facing out. So that the viewers see what Jenson and Case see, not looking at Case and Jenson.

Chosen answer: Nothing has been said and no indications are given as to what is in the cooler.

Mean Girls (2004)

Question: Wasn't it a big risk for Cady to send the candy cane card to herself and pretend it was from Regina? She could have easily been caught if Gretchen had mentioned it to Regina.

Answer: It's the type of thing that Cady would do to discredit Regina. Yes it was risky, but Cady had everything to gain from it.

Ssiscool

Answer: Most likely, Gretchen would not dare to ask Regina about this. She wants to please Regina, and would be too afraid to say anything.

Quantum of Solace (2008)

Question: Was it on purpose that Strawberry Fields' death look similar to the one in Goldfinger?

Answer: Yes, they filmed it as a reference to Goldfinger.

Ssiscool

Question: In the first movie there was a song that played every time the creature was about to attack. Does anyone know why the filmmakers decided not to play that song in the second movie?

Answer: It could be any number of things. The artist in question could have refused to allow them to use the song. In The Fast And The Furious, they had the name "NOS" on the nitrous. But in all other films in the series it is known as "N2O" as NOS didn't want it in the films anymore.

Ssiscool

Answer: The song "Jeepers Creepers" was only relevant to the first movie, and not the second, because it foreshadowed the ending. The song didn't have anything to do with the creature about to strike, it had to do with a vision the resident psychic Jezelle (who only appears in the first film) saw involving the song, a vision that eventually came true. The song was a subtle hint about Darry's fate, which is why it played several times.

Question: Why is there another flight of stairs going up from the Fat Lady's portrait when there are only supposed to be 7 floors on the Grand Staircase? There's also another flight of stairs going up higher in the background (behind Harry and the others) when the Fat Lady won't allow the students in until she's broken the glass with her voice. Is there an 8th floor we're not hearing about?

Answer: We are constantly told that the staircases move by themselves and often lead no-where. It is very easy to assume that these stairs are ones that go no-where.

soptter

Chosen answer: Yes the tires do appear to be shot out so that would make it a mistake.

Question: Why would an interpreter be necessary for a mission such as Miller's? Is this purely a plot devise to add a character who is 1) inexperienced in combat and 2) not part of a pre-existing group close-knit through combat?

Gordo-from-hell

Chosen answer: If they have to ask the locals for information they will need an interpreter for that.

Ssiscool

Answer: Miller and his platoon advanced onto Ramelle France. Seeing as none of the platoon spoke French, Upham was a perfect candidate for this. Also, when they capture steamboat Willy, Upham is also of good use as he spoke French and German.
