Answer: In the sequel, it is revealed he is in prison for murdering his wife.
Question: Why does Frankenstein keep on having to switch gears to go faster, can't he just leave it on the fastest?
Question: When the Death Race is being aired, it describes it as having 100 different angles, including angles from inside the driver's car, but Jason Statham's character, imitating Frankenstein, has his masks off, and doesn't have a face "ruined by crashes so he has to wear a mask". Surely if anyone viewed this angle, they could see it wasn't really Frankenstein at all?
Question: I'm not sure about this, but didn't Grim's tires get blown out? If so, right after the next scene, where 14K hits Grim's car, the tires appear intact. It also looked new despite getting blown by a missile.
Question: How did Joe and Jensen manage to plot the escape? The guards watched their every move.
Answer: There were a few times throughout the film where they were able to talk to each other in the pits before the guards showed up, chances are they discussed it during one of the pit times off-screen. They couldn't be sure the guards weren't listening to their radios during the race after the stunt they pulled with the juggernaut so it's the only chance they would've got.
Answer: While it is never revealed what Lists done to earn a place in prison, it is shown that Hennesey will frame certain people to get them sent to her prison. As she did with Ames.
