Corrected entry: When Flynn and Nicole are underwater, after jumping off the cliff with the Brotherhood just behind them, you can see a gold-colored item fall from Flynn's bag. It's identical to the book and to our knowledge he has nothing else with him. Yet later on in the movie he still has the book with him.

Correction: Look closely. The gold colored item in the water is a large, gold-colored leaf that floats downward after they splash in. Nothing falls from his bag.

The Beastmaster (1982)

Corrected entry: Dar was not struggling enough in the quicksand to sink that far down. Most people will only sink to chest level when they are as calm as he was.

Correction: Firstly, the density of the quicksand would depend on how quickly or far someone would sink. Struggling makes it quicker because it changes the air voids and the density. Also, you answered yourself when you said "most people". This could certainly be one of those situations when Dar is not "most people."

Zwn Annwn

Wouldn't the fact that Dar fell into the quicksand, as opposed to stepping into it, make a difference? I always wondered why he didn't go under upon landing. It seemed pretty watery compared to videos I've seen online about wilderness survival.

V (1984)

V: Part 2 (2 Hrs) - S1-E2

Corrected entry: When Donovan disguises himself as a Visitor and stows away aboard a Visitor craft a second time, the Visitor Sergeant who tried to kill him previously leaps on board at the last minute and stands beside him. There is absolutely no way he wouldn't recognise Donovan throughout the journey. (00:49:45)

Correction: Maybe, maybe not. To the Visitors, humans are, essentially, animals (even food). A real person seeing a strange black labrador retriever might well not recognize the same dog later on (they might just think it is another black lab). When the Visitor fought Donovan before, he only saw him as an animal - remember too, the Visitors were all in disguise. Seeing Donovan again just didn't trigger a recognition response.

M*A*S*H (1972)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Trapper John and Hawkeye have a gin still in the Swamp. Distilling gin requires a constant supply of freshwater, large amounts of juniper berries, coriander (and other flavourings), magnesium carbonate, and potassium carbonate. Burnt alum and pipe clay are needed for filtering. Where do they manage to find these things in war-torn Korea in the Fifties?

Correction: They are in a MASH unit. They could probably order most of the stuff as medical supplies. Some of the flavorings could be from the black market or sent from home. Also, they CALL it gin - but everyone pretty much agrees that it is mostly rotgut hootch - therefore, there are a lot of things that can be used for flavoring.

Stolen Car - S1-E14

Corrected entry: According to the official website, Point Place is a suburb of Green Bay, WI. Midge can't make meat loaf for Bob because she is taking a class at a community college in Kenosha, which is about 2.5 hours away from Green Bay. Kenosha gets mentioned in other episodes as well.

Correction: There may have been no place closer for Midge to take the classes she wanted. I would imagine "Woman Warriors" would not be a big curriculum item in the mid-70s at colleges. Even though 2.5 hours could be a bit excessive to drive, she could certainly do it. She is shown getting home very late at night. The other mentions of Kenosha never make notice that Kenosha is 5 minutes away or so - just that something is happening in Kenosha.

Eric's Corvette Caper - S4-E22

Corrected entry: When Red tells Eric he can drive the car, and they are sitting in it together, Eric turns on the ignition and the stereo can be heard. That is how Red knows Eric drove it and grounds him for a month. But, earlier when Eric moved the car back into the garage before his dad came home, he would have heard the stereo blaring.

Correction: Hearing the radio blaring and having the presence of mind to turn it off are two different things. He was probably so used to the radio in his car that it just didn't register that it was on. Besides which, this is a character mistake, not necessarily a mistake for the show.

My Cousin Vinny (1992)

Corrected entry: When Lisa and Vinny are driving from the courthouse they are talking about how he didn't win the case by himself. In one shot a piece of her hair is stuck to her lipstick and in the next shot all of her hair is behind her ears. There are other moments where her hair changes position between shots.

Correction: She's in a convertible driving down the road. We should expect to have her hair change positions between shots - and continuously for that matter.

Correction: This is very vague. If there are so few movies that are filmed in chronological order that this is a huge aberration, then that may be good trivia. If many movies are filmed in chronological order, then this does not really qualify as trivia as it is very commonplace. This should be explained in greater detail.

That '70s Show (1998)

Correction: While there is never a LOT of snow on the ground, house, cars, etc., there are numerous times that there is snow on the driveway and the yard. The days that we see in the show are just those days without a lot of snow. Not really a mistake, just a choice of the writers.

The Keys - S3-E23

Corrected entry: Although it moves the plot along, it makes no sense for George to exchange spare keys with Kramer when he was told that Kramer is going to move to California because Kramer will not be around to give George his spare keys when George needs them.

Correction: Most of the things that George and Kramer do make no sense. Why should this time be any different?

The Good Son - S1-E25

Corrected entry: At the 17 or 18 minute mark of the show, Hyde is doing dishes, Eric is behind him with a carton of milk, and Fez & Kelso sit at the counter as Kelso peels a banana. While Eric is griping that Hyde does too many chores around the house and makes him look bad to Red, Kelso takes a bite from that banana. You can plainly see that when he does this be breaks the banana, but when it cuts back a few scenes later, the banana isn't broken anymore.

Correction: The banana is still broken, the top part is just sitting flat against the break and the break is difficult to see.

Drive-In - S1-E8

Corrected entry: When Eric and Donna are on the hood of the Vista Cruiser, their heads go through the non-existent windshield.

Correction: There are views where you can see reflections off the windshield and you can also see them "propped" up by the windshield. The windshield is definitely there. The shot never cuts away from them so the windshield remains there. The "non-existant windshield" is, as stated, an optical illusion.

The '70s Pilot - S1-E1

Corrected entry: In the opening scene, the boys are looking at a Playboy centerfold, circa 1976. However, the magazine is perfect bound, not saddle stitched (stapled) as Playboys were at that time.

Correction: It is not a Playboy. It is difficult to read the writing but it is definitely not a Playboy. In a later episode, Hyde is looking at a "Layboy". They didn't use the real magazines. Therefore, since it is "not" a Playboy, the binding is not a mistake.

Octopussy (1983)

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie Bond's predecessor is killed in the line of duty while clutching a counterfeit Faberge egg. In an effort to sniff out the counterfeiters Bond attends a Sotheby's event where the real egg is being put up for auction. When bond returns to headquarters, we're told and Bond modestly brags to his superiors that through careful slight of hand he switched his counterfeit egg with the real egg during the bidding process. So the buyer (the bad guy) purchased the fake egg instead. Back at headquarters (after the auction/switch scene) Q inserts a bugging device in what would have to be the real egg. Later in the movie however, the fake egg is destroyed over an argument between the two bad guys which results in the bug being exposed. How did the bug get implanted into the fake egg? Q put the bug into the real egg after Bond came back to headquarters from the auction.

Correction: General Orlov destroyed the real egg. That is why Kamal Khan is so "shocked" when he does it since he wanted to keep the real one. General Orlov believes it is the fake egg though and crushes it.

Stealth (2005)

Corrected entry: The Captain of the aircraft carrier is wearing the insignia of a US Navy Lieutenant. The two silver bars he's wearing on his collar would be a captain in the Air Force, but a Navy captain should have eagles, like Sam Shepard wears the first time we see him.

Correction: In one sense you are right, in another you are wrong. The commander of a naval vessel is called "Captain", no matter what rank he/she is actually. A person could be a Naval Lieutenant and still be called "Captain" if he/she commanded a vessel. However, Naval Lieutenant's would never command an aircraft carrier, so the commander is probably an O-6 (captain/colonel).

Correction: I just rewatched it. He is wearing a full bird. There are no shots of him wearing lieutenant bars.

Corrected entry: The two first frames of the shot when the German bike flies after Indiana obstructs the front wheel with a stick show a dummy in a motorcycle that never moves.

Correction: It has been established that if you have to use freeze frame or slow motion to see a mistake - it needs to be something such as a cameraman in the picture or something of that nature. The fact that they used a dummy that you can see for two freeze frames and is not really noticeable in real time cannot be contributed as a mistake.

Paycheck (2003)

Corrected entry: When Ben Affleck tries to open the BMW with the remote control on the key, he repeatedly presses the "close"-button. The "open"-button is the one closer to the key itself, while the BMW-sign in the key is used to close.

Christoph Galuschka

Correction: This is not necessarily a movie mistake. It could be considered a mistake by Michael, pushing the wrong button.

Zwn Annwn

Correction: In real life, of course, he would have. However, this is a movie. There are lots of things in this movie that do not happen (as far as we yet know) in real life, such as time travel. However, the directors still had a need for Mini Me in the next movie - so they shot the movie as they did. And, since they intended it that way, it is not a mistake.

Zwn Annwn

Corrected entry: Some sounds of Mini Me's voice are squeaky. But in the part where they're singing and playing the piano, you hear that Mini Me's voice is deep.

Correction: I fail to see how this is a "mistake" since it was planned by the director. The joke is that Mini-me, who never talks in the movie but does "squeak" occasionally, has this one deep voiced line; notice the reaction of Frau and Number Two; how shocked they are. Remember the dramatic difference between what Jim Nabors, of Gomer Pyle fame, sounded like talking (Shazaam) and singing. About the same as Mini-me.

National Treasure (2004)

Corrected entry: "Valley Forge" cannot be used as a government password. All government passwords must include a special character (and asterisk, an underscore, etc) and a number. For example, "Valley_Forge3" would have worked.

Correction: Government passwords for computers do require symbols, letters and numbers. This is not a computer (per se) but a terminal granting entry to the preservation room. A computer will deny a password that doesn't have the correct symbols but a terminal to the preservation room may well not. Therefore, she may have been able to use whatever password she wanted.
