The Beastmaster (1982)

4 corrected entries

Corrected entry: When Kiri exits the lake and confronts the panther, watch the animal's front left leg (our right) and you'll notice the security cable attached to it.

Sacha

Correction: I think you're mistaking the reed of the plant for a cable.

Jazaray

Corrected entry: When Dar is trapped in the quicksand, the ferrets drop his belt. The position of the belt changes between shots.

Sacha

Correction: After the belt is dropped, it does not change position until Dar knocks into it, changing its position.

Jazaray

Corrected entry: When Dar takes the dead white dog to the pile of dead bodies, the dog is breathing.

Sacha

Correction: Dar is carrying the dog, bouncing with each step. The dog is not breathing, its body is bouncing along with Dar's steps.

Jazaray

Corrected entry: Dar was not struggling enough in the quicksand to sink that far down. Most people will only sink to chest level when they are as calm as he was.

Correction: Firstly, the density of the quicksand would depend on how quickly or far someone would sink. Struggling makes it quicker because it changes the air voids and the density. Also, you answered yourself when you said "most people". This could certainly be one of those situations when Dar is not "most people."

Mistakes

When the Jun hoard attack the Emirite village, Dar gets knocked unconscious and his dog starts to drag him away. After Maax arrives, the dog is shown dragging Dar away a second time. Two mistakes are apparent. The dog is pulling on the cloth of his left shoulder in this shot. First, when the dog is pulling, the dog stops to get a better grip on the clothing. When the dog lets go of the clothing, Dar keeps sliding even though the dog isn't pulling. Second, when they show the close-up of Dar, the dog is pulling on his right side, not the left. Then again on his left side and again on his right side. It switches a couple of times.

Trivia

The insurance people wouldn't allow Josh Milrad to be on set at the same time as any of the animals (especially the tiger), so a stand-in had to be used.
