Continuity mistake: When Melanie Says, "There we are, love birds" there are no shadows on the edge of the cage near her face. The next time we see this spot the lighting has been changed so that you can see the shadow on the edge of the cage.
Continuity mistake: As they all sit down to have dinner Lydia covers the lovebird's cage with a cloth. After the birds fly from the fireplace we see the birdcage again and you can tell by the edges that the cloth is in a different position even though no one went near it.
Continuity mistake: A guy in the blue and white car that comes crashing towards Melanie in the phone booth throws a bird out of his driver side window. In the next shot as he fends off several other birds the window is shut. Then when he crashes into the orange car, it's open again.
Continuity mistake: As Melanie and Annie talk, you can see the purple pillow that she was just laying on as Melanie came in squished into the corner of the couch. Later that pillow has been fluffed up without her touching it.
Continuity mistake: In the restaurant Melanie doesn't have to poke around at all as she opens her pocketbook and pulls out and the compact and tissue. They must have been the only things placed in her prop pocketbook so they would be ready to come out without any fuss.
Audio problem: When Mitch says to Lydia in the kitchen, "Yeah, I suppose so. Her father's part owner of one of the big newspapers in San Francisco," his lips don't match up with what he's saying and his voice sounds entirely different from his previous sentence.
Continuity mistake: Before Melanie walks up the stairs to the bedroom there's a shadow of a plant on her jacket. This is wrong because in the shot before we can see up the stairs and there's no plant with any light behind it.
