Brick Mansions picture

Factual error: The "brick mansions" are in Detroit, but when the surveillance satellite footage is shown, the initial, close-up skyline shown from above is of San Francisco. Then as it zooms out it's looking at Chicago. (01:04:00)

Fury picture

Factual error: During the final battle, Gordo the tank driver calls out, "Panzerfaust, four o'clock!", as he looks through his periscope. He could not have seen any targets at four o'clock, as the driver's periscope could barely rotate towards the eleven and one o'clock positions, close to the left and right front corners of the tank's hull. The four o'clock position would be near the right rear of the tank.

Kingsman: The Secret Service picture

Factual error: When the barracks are completely flooded, Eggsy uses his bare fist to punch through a large two-way mirror to escape. The fact is that any glass (or plexiglas) thick enough to contain hundreds (or thousands) of tons of water without bursting would be as impenetrable as concrete to Eggsy's bare fist. He would need a chisel-tipped jackhammer to penetrate such a mirror.

The Expendables 3 picture

Factual error: Their 'spot' for drinking is apparently in the French Quarter because of the street signs. That said, they are drinking Budvar beer. If you know about Budvar, it is the original Budweiser beer from the Czech Republic. Budweiser sued Budvar and won, preventing them from using the name 'Budweiser', even though Adolph Busch came up with 'Budweiser' after going to Pilsner, Czechoslovakia. Budweiser being the bully, and their lawyers and all, won the lawsuit. So now the beer is sold as 'Czechvar' in the US and 'Budvar' everywhere else, meaning they couldn't be drinking it in the USA.

The Equalizer picture

Factual error: In the big battle scene at the Home Mart store after Robert turns the power off to the building, you see Robert grabbing welding canisters. When Robert has Ralphie turn the power back on, it cuts to one of the bad guys in the break-room, and a digital microwave starts counting down. A digital microwave could not have any memory of any prior cook settings, let alone any way to set it, since the power was already out. (01:55:40 - 01:56:35)

Factual error: In the cardiac resuscitation scene with Brian Cranston, someone says "he's in atrial fibrillation... Give him 1 milligram of epinephrine." Wrong drug, in fact one that would very likely kill him immediately (maybe that's why he didn't make it!).

Factual error: When TCAS sounds on an airliner, it should include instructions for the pilot to climb or descend. The pilot should not have to call another plane to inform that pilot. It would take too much time.

Factual error: The Map of Europe used for plotting their route displays the Netherlands incorrectly, showing its two major central polders (low-lying reclaimed landmasses surrounded by dikes) which weren't drained and finally completed until 1968.

Annie picture

Factual error: When they are chasing Annie's fake parents into Liberty State park, the park is not located near the George Washington Bridge, as shown immediately before they entered the park, and NYPD would not give chase into the park, since Liberty State Park is located in New Jersey.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes picture

Factual error: When Koba steals an Armored Security Vehicle class M1117A Guardian, he kills the gunner from the turret and then somehow manages to use the 240B attached to the turret. First, it takes three men/apes to operate the ASV, and second, the ASV cannot be operated from the turret. In that scene, it is assumed that Koba is operating the entire vehicle, something most humans cannot do or do not know how to do. Let alone a 240B, MK19, or .50 Cal M2 Browning. The ASV turned in the direction of the wall, which was the only way that the Apes were able to breach the city walls. This is also kind of an important plot hole blunder too because if it were not for the breach from the ASV, the Apes would not have won. The other blunder from this is that the gunner would not have been exposed from the hatch, since the ASV was using .50Cal and MK19. No need to use the 240B.

Gone Girl picture

Factual error: SPOILER: Amy Dunne returns covered with blood. After being at the hospital, and in the interview/questioning, she is still covered with blood. After being medically examined, she would have been washed clean, not just dressed over all the mess. But it gets worse; when returning to Nick in their house, she has a crisp hospital garment, but is still covered in blood! And it gets even worse; when they are in the shower, the blood on her body, which by now would have been at least a day old, would have been dried, caked and brownish color, but what she washes off is very fresh.

Transformers: Age of Extinction picture

Factual error: The elevator Cade leaves because there's "too much weight" shows in the next scene a weight limit of 680kg. Even if the four passengers weighed 90kg each (a total of 360kg) it would mean the seed weighed more than 320kg (over 700lb), which would mean that Joyce would never be able to carry it alone as he did several times.

Edge of Tomorrow picture

Factual error: In the opening sequence just before Minute 1, after the asteroid is reported to have hit Hamburg (Germany), it is shown in red how the mimics spread through Europe. But wrongly this spreading is originating from the center of Europe (somewhere in Austria) rather than in Hamburg (on the far north of Germany). You can even see in the next shot how it spreads from Austria to Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, which makes no sense if the origin is supposed to be the far north of Germany. American Heist picture

Factual error: After fixing Emily's car, James explains to her that someone must have poured sugar in her gas tank, and besides cleaning the gas tank, he will also have to replace the fuel filter and the carburetor. That would simply not happen: As several tests show, 'sugar in the tank' is a complete myth that will not cause any engine problems. If anything at all would happen, it would clog the fuel filter, but never destroy a carburetor. And even if it would, it could not on a Emily's car - since it's a Fiat 500 and (like all modern cars) it has fuel injection, and does not even have a carburetor. (00:14:00)
