Character mistake: In the scene with the ants, Jones refers to them as "Siafu", which is actually the Swahili name for driver ants which are native to Africa, not South America.
Character mistake: On Taylor's phone it says she dies at 8:32PM, but Beth says 7:32PM, when reading the message. (00:27:05)
Character mistake: The information on Walter's "patient information sheet" lists his address as 5962 Delco St but numerous shots indicate his house number is 238. (01:03:25)
Character mistake: There is a misspelling on the cover of the issue of Forbes magazine shown in the presentation about Stark's life. It reads "Tony Stark takes reigns at 21". The correct spelling of the word is "reins". Stark may "reign" at Stark Industries but he would take over the "reins" of the company.
Character mistake: Captain McCrea tells the passengers that it's the 700th anniversary of the Axiom's first flight. The Axiom has been in flight for 255,642 days. Actually, 700 years is 255,675 days. That figure includes the additional day in 175 leap years.
Character mistake: Throughout the movie the character Andrea's name is consistently mispronounced. When her husband Chris shows up at her office to apologize for looking at her bank statements and offer to take her to lunch, he approaches the receptionist saying he's looking for his wife whine he calls Andrea (pronounced like Ann-drea) but then in the same scene he calls her Andrea (pronounced Ahn-dre-uh) I understand maybe another character mispronouncing her name but not her own husband.
Character mistake: During the Nativity play, Pastor Phil says, "Are we ready to see the result of the Immaculate Conception?" The term 'Immaculate Conception' refers to the conception of the Virgin Mary (conceived without Original Sin), not to the conception of Jesus. Furthermore, the Immaculate Conception is a dogma of the Catholic Church, and not something which a Protestant pastor like Phil would believe in.
Character mistake: McQuarry enters the subway at the 103rd Street station on the 1. He is transferring to the 2/3 at Chambers Street when Bose approaches him. However, it makes no sense to transfer here. As someone who knows New York, McQuarry would transfer to the 2/3 at 96th Street to benefit from the express ride to Chambers. (01:03:05)
Character mistake: Bud keeps calling Sarah "Ma'am." Sarah is a corporal. Corporals don't get called ma'am or sir in the US Army. Bud has been in the Army for seven months. No soldier would make this mistake after the third week of boot camp. Anytime you call an enlisted man or NCO sir, you are looking at about 20-50 push-ups or sit-ups to correct you. It's conditioned into you.
