Visible crew/equipment: When Ingrid sits at the vanity table in the bedroom, in the shot just after Gregorio's screen reads, "Type password," but just before the close-up of Ingrid's fingers typing on her makeup, there is a lovely reflection of a crew member behind the camera, which is perfectly clear in the mirror to Ingrid's right. Continuity mistake: When Shrek backs into the two barrels at the tournament, they both have taps on them. He then bashes one of these off with the beer mug. But when Donkey rolls the other barrel the tap has vanished on that one as well. (00:24:00)
Visible crew/equipment: When Duane hits the second cow while hanging from the rope, if you watch carefully you can see the head of someone, bent down behind the cow, wearing a white hat. (01:01:30)
Revealing mistake: When Jim's Dad walks in on him and the girl having 'goodbye sex', Jim scrambles around trying to cover himself. At one point, as he's going from the floor to the bed, you can see the string bikini or whatever he's wearing so that he doesn't accidentally expose himself. (00:03:20)
Revealing mistake: When they're driving back to the Darcys' in the snow, you can see that as they pass through the village near the house, the snow on the ground is in fact a white ground sheet and has not been pulled up to the edges of the wall surrounding the green. (01:17:25)
Revealing mistake: When all of Rowan's clothes are removed from her frozen body, the outline of a strapless bra can be seen under the metal blanket. It is also seen later when she sits up and the metal blanket slips a little bit. (00:21:15)
Other mistake: In the scaring simulation room, the alphabet wallpaper border at the top of the wall has the "J" written backwards.
Suggested correction: The walls of the room also have nonsensical drawings like a giraffe with two heads. The implication is that the monsters designing the room didn't entirely know what kids would actually have in rooms (like they didn't know that giraffes don't actually have two heads). So they thought that humans have the J backwards.
Whether or not the backwards J was intentional or as a joke, it would still seem unreasonable for the monsters to get it wrong when you see they got the pictures for each letter seen correct "jaguar", "kangaroo "pig", "quail", "rhino." I would at the very least call it a character mistake.
As the original correction said, it's just an example of the monsters not understanding the human world. Not a mistake.
Yet they know the alphabet? I doubt it.
Revealing mistake: When Jackie rescues the kid from the burning petrol truck you can see that they used a dummy when he dropped the kid. (01:11:36)
Continuity mistake: When Nino goes to 'Les deux Moulins' for the first time, we can see Amelie writing the menu on a glass right behind him. A few shots later, we see the glass again and the handwriting is quite different. That's easy to see if you look carefully at the 'd'. Later on, we see the glass once more, and the handwriting has changed again. (01:32:55)
Continuity mistake: During the scene where Brodie talks to Jay and Silent Bob about Bluntman and Cronic, he shows them a copy of Wizard magazine with a related article. On the right page is a picture of Holden and Banky. They then take this magazine and eventually show Holden McNeil the same article. The right hand pictures are different from how they were before.
Continuity mistake: While Gino and Arliss are at the restaurant stressing about finding the dog, Gino tells Arliss that he hates Tommy because he has no respect, and when the cell phone rings two cans of dog food suddenly appear on the table in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: During the scene in the mall when the girl is in the dressing room, she keeps putting on more layers of clothing. But as they are shooting different shots she will have a hot pink shirt on, then it is back on the hanger, and then back on again. It switches back and forth many times. (01:00:50)
Continuity mistake: When Mary and Steve are sitting in the park watching the old movie, Steve starts tossing the colored M&Ms out of his hand and all that's left are the brown ones. A couple shots later you can see that there are colored M&Ms still in his hand, but he did not take more.
Continuity mistake: When Segal is held captive in the speeding black van, one of the captors is pushed out the side door by Segal and is crushed when the passenger side of the van hits a row of parked cars - one of the side doors gets knocked off but a few shots later, as the van is scraping past a line of cars, the door's back on. Continuity mistake: When Carter is singing karaoke, first you see the girls beginning to join him on stage. In the next scene (right after the scene with Inspector Lee's reaction to Carter singing), you see Carter dancing with a DIFFERENT group of girls (it lasts a couple of seconds). Then, when Lee is calling out Carter, the original dancers from the first scene are back. Use the tall Chinese girl wearing the pink dress on the right side of the screen as reference in the first scene, then she disappears in the second scene and reappears in the last scene. (00:06:45)
Continuity mistake: When Elle is at the beauty salon she has 2 flowers in her hair, one purple, and one pink. When the camera angle changes, the flowers also change position from shot to shot. (00:52:23)
Continuity mistake: When the men are sitting at the round table and Jamal is introducing his fast food restaurant idea, the table is empty and then Jamal's paper scroll appears there, then the table is empty again and Jamal opens the scroll on the table. (00:39:25)
Continuity mistake: After Rosemary cuts the cake, she lays the knife down and in the next few shots the knife changes position from laying down to sitting up back to laying down again.
