Continuity mistake: Terence Stamp takes out a pursuing vehicle by reversing his own car into it at high speed and pushing it over a cliff. When he subsequently drives off, amazingly there's no damage at all to the rear of his car. Shortly before, it is peppered with gunshot holes which mysteriously disappear.
Continuity mistake: After Lester throws the pillow, it bounces off the couch and lands in the chair. In the next shot it's gone, but reappears in the following shot. (01:14:10)
Continuity mistake: The boys go out in their boat to water ski, only to find that Jones has built a huge dock that blocks their way. No matter. The boat does not contain skis nor a tow-rope anyway....
Continuity mistake: Luca and his friend are chasing a bus and come down an old dirt road, Luca in a side car with a dog in his lap. The next shot, there's no dog, then the next shot the dog is back in his arms again.
Continuity mistake: At the orgy a man walks through a door with a naked woman on each arm, then the camera cuts so that Tom Cruise is in the shot with the man and two women approaching him. In this shot one of the women is a different woman from before.
Continuity mistake: The licence plate of the taxi which hits Sebastian in the end changes during the shot. (01:27:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the Asian gang is ramming Porter with their car, when they hit him the windshield gets smashed. When they all get back in their car and drive off the windshield is fine. (00:47:15 - 00:48:35)
Continuity mistake: In one scene, some of Saddam's troops pour oil all over Mark Whalberg's face (while forcing him to bite down on a CD so it runs into his mouth) in an attempt to torture him. The next scene, when he is rescued, he has nothing but the requisite smudges and "movie dirt" on his face. Apparently the Iraqis decided to clean the oil slick off of his face before he got rescued.
Continuity mistake: Rachel (Emily Bergl) is in her kitchen and she has a black and white flash back in her kitchen by the sink. One minute, she has on a flannel shirt, the next its gone and she's only wearing a tank top. A second later, the flannel shirt is back on.
Continuity mistake: In the whipped cream bikini scene, when Mox pulls back from kissing the cheerleader he has whipped cream on his shirt. In the next shot it's not there.
Continuity mistake: When TC steals the Monet, he places the painting in the briefcase and closes the case breaking the frame in half and thus ripping the edges of the painting. When at home he opens the briefcase and the frame is obviously crooked but when he holds the painting up to place it above the fireplace it is perfectly intact and the painting is not damaged. Continuity mistake: When Frankie is about to receive the first stigmata (when sitting in the bath), a pigeon suddenly flies up. When she takes a piece of a feather that flew into the water, you can already see stigmata marks on her right-hand wrists.
Continuity mistake: When the Iron Giant follows Hogarth home they cross a railwayline and the Giant starts to eat the steel rail. During this scene you can see the distance of the railway sleepers changing from a fair distance apart to close together over the course of the shots. In the same scene you can also see that, although there is a crossing with lights, no vehicle could possibly pass as the rail has no crossover facility at that level. (00:24:30)
Continuity mistake: During the birthday party, the cigarette over Brandon's ear switches from right ear to left ear.
Continuity mistake: When Tom, as Dickie, rents a place in Rome, and after Tom kills Freddie, the police are all over him. Marge comes calling and Tom, as Dickie, asks the policeman to ask her to come back later, which leaves Tom alone with the detective. But as we see Marge creeping up the stairs, to see Dickie, suddenly, the policeman is with Tom and the detective, even though the policeman had left and Tom had closed the doors, so the policeman should not have been there.
Continuity mistake: When Lance arrives at the church to call off the wedding, he exits an old model cab with a square body. As he's walking up the church stairs the cab pulls off and is a newer model.
Continuity mistake: The bottle of Peach Schnapps that Trip (Josh Hartnett) brings to the dance is alternately full and half empty during the scene. When Trip pulls it out, it is new and unopened. He hands it to Lux to drink, at which time it is nearly empty. He then drinks from it, and it is about half-full. He next hands it to the other couple, at which time the bottle is nearly full again. Continuity mistake: When Ray and Claude are going to bed in the retirement home, Ray tells Claude that he's going to put his wet sheets on him when he's sleeping. If you look closely Claude starts laughing really hard, but he's not supposed to.
Continuity mistake: When Susanna gets into the cab to go to the mental hospital, she pushes the suitcase over and clearly sits on the left side of the cab (directly behind the driver), but in the following shots she is sitting on the right side, and looks out the right side passenger window.
Continuity mistake: When Karin is in the grocery store, and puts an ice pack on Julian's hand, it is with the back facing up, but when it cuts back, the bag is facing with the front up.
