Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bill Gates is posing for a photo for The Wall Street Journal, the photographer asks him to take off his sweater revealing a white or light vanilla colored shirt underneath. The camera cuts away to the photographer adjusting his camera. When Bill is shown again in the next shot, his shirt is now light blue.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Alicia comes out of the bathroom at the drive-up restaurant and seduces Brad, throughout the scene a piece of Brad's hair goes from being on his face to being fixed.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Mira Sorvino kisses Steven Weber during a dance, her hair color and make up look different before and after the shot of the actual kiss. (00:54:10)
Continuity mistake: When Calvin first goes back up to the surface, he encounters the bartender. The bartender is shown as himself moving at first then he freezes while Calvin's light is on him. Continuity mistake: After Alvin zooms down the hill with his tractor, Danny Riordan and four other people help him. In the shot of Alvin standing next to his tractor, the tractor is facing the right side of the house, in the next shot, from Alvin's perspective, the tractor is facing the left side of the house.
Continuity mistake: When the kids enter their home soaking wet and run to their father on the first floor, the cigarette in his mouth disappears/reappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the Spanish demand Hornblower surrender his ship, the battleship fires two shots.the first shatters the topsail spar at the jeers, bringing it down, and the second.shatters the once again undamaged topsail spar outboard of the jeers, bringing it down again.
Continuity mistake: During the scene when they are trying to bring Mr. Leniog into the rear of the door we hear them trying to open the door from the inside, shaking it rather violently. From the outside shots we hear the door rattling but it's not moving at all like it is from the inside shots.
