Deliberate mistake: As the sub rises backwards to the surface, the stern emerges from the water at a steep angle, then rises near-vertically so that the boat is virtually standing on the tip of its bow. Anything left loose on a countertop would surely fall off. But when the boat falls onto its belly, a close-up shows a pistol sliding off a sink counter into the hand of the Captain- because it's dramatic and cool looking, yet extremely improbable- especially considering that an open tin of shaving foam, its lid and a foam brush all lay on the same counter, undisturbed. Deliberate mistake: It's not particularly believable that the away team to stop the assassination would consist of the ship's entire senior staff, and raises the question of who was left in charge of the bridge (the answer: apparently nobody, as they return to a completely deserted bridge). Of course this is dramatic license, and at this point the audience won't care or likely even notice.
Deliberate mistake: As Rosemary is prepared to be raped by the devil she is lying on white sheets. In the next shot as she is being raped she's on black satin sheets. (00:47:30)
Deliberate mistake: The sex scene between Paul and Marcy is broken up with a shot of Karen dying alone in the toolshed. The shot is well-lit, but we saw Marcy closing the door when she put Karen back in the shed, leaving the shed virtually pitch dark. So where is the light coming from? (01:02:35)
Deliberate mistake: Slavo and Dragan are supposed to be Serbians but they speak Romanian.
Deliberate mistake: There is a huge security breach in the scene with Robin Williams and Christopher Walkin walking at night. The Security SUV limousine is more than 30 metres away from them. It should be pacing them in case of an emergency and be right next to them on the sidewalk. It appears the reason it is so far back is because at the camera angle the scene is shot at, it makes for a good background element which you would not see if the Secret Service followed protocol.
Deliberate mistake: The entire plot wouldn't exist without this one, but just before the engineer stumbles out the door and falls off, he pulls the big red lever on the left side of the cab. In the real world this puts the air brake system into its emergency mode. Among other things, this mode trips a solenoid which causes the engine to return to idle, and the electrical system to not put out power. Neither the Diesel engine nor the electrical system will respond to control inputs until/unless the air system is reset.
Deliberate mistake: When Dwight Yoakum is being shot by Rita, and he is holding Lew, you can plainly see Lew has earplugs in to muffle the gunshot.
Deliberate mistake: In the last shot of the movie, Alan Hackman looks at himself in a mirror through his own eyes. But when he looks away and runs off, the camera keeps watching the empty mirror in stead of watching what he sees. (01:26:25)
Deliberate mistake: When "Henry Faber" discovers the phony airfield, several helicopters with Army markings are among the aircraft visible. Although the Army did use helicopters experimentally during WWII, those used bore no resemblance to those shown in the film.
Deliberate mistake: When Jackie tries to avoid the Jamaican guy he jumps up to a higher deck. As we see him duck out of sight it takes him about 1 second to get to the other side and jump down there. However it's at least 40 feet to get to the other side. Jackie is usually fast but not that fast. (00:34:30)

Deliberate mistake: Morse code takes a lot longer to type out than the captain of the Dallas seems to need. Likely "compressed" because otherwise the process would be quite dull, but still.
Deliberate mistake: In the facial morph, the faces don't come anywhere close. The face was morphed with no feature of either resembling the other. The only matching features were the hair and neck which were not touched by the morph. The midpoint of the shift wreaks of Photoshop-like effects (softening of the face alone). (00:41:50)
Deliberate mistake: The nose pieces on the face masks have been removed from all of the SCBAs used in the movie. The nose pieces are essential to keep the mask from fogging up, but were removed to allow the audience to see all of the actors' faces.
Deliberate mistake: During Dade's first 'hacking' scene, he is wearing sunglasses. The shades disappear for a closeup shot of Dade's eyes and a brief montage of TV clips, then reappear on Dade's face in the longer shot. (00:05:45)
Deliberate mistake: During the scene where Ryback is fighting Penn (the grey-haired mercenary) in the kitchen, watch for the shot where Ryback flips Penn. The film has been sped up and the result looks disjointed and out of place. The characters are moving FAR too fast for it to look natural.
Deliberate mistake: The pile of fish in the first fish trap is much taller than the trucks. That's impossible without some sort of lifting equipment - and no such thing is around in the aerial shots. (00:42:50)
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where the FBI agents are transporting Lester Cowans in a car and telling him all his friends have confessed, for about three seconds the scenery goes by backwards. For some reason, the shot is played in reverse.
Deliberate mistake: After Doug finds where Minuti was killed and set on fire, he walks over to a dock where he sees Minuti's arm being eaten by alligators. Minuti had been dumped in the water 4 days prior, yet his hand is perfectly intact with no signs of burning, bite marks or weather/water damage of any kind.
