Cabin Fever (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Marcy leaves Karen's side to confront Jeff, in the first shot Karen's blanket is tucked under her legs. But in the next shot, her blanket is lying loose upon her mattress. Also, leaves that are bunched up at the side of the mattress disappear between shots. (01:00:50)

Chosen answer: No. There are small instances on "Star Trek: TNG" where Picard speaks French on board the Enterprise, without the Universal Translator altering it. Were he always speaking French, the Universal Translator would make no distinction when he was speaking French as a matter of course, or speaking French for a particular effect. In the episode "Code of Honor", Data refers to French as an "archaic language" on Earth, to which Picard takes umbrage. I suspect Data would have known if Picard were actually speaking French at the time.

Cabin Fever (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Marcy is shaving her legs, in a close-up shot of her face we see a small smear of shaving cream on her forehead that hadn't been there in the previous close-up. A few shots later, it has vanished just as mysteriously as it appeared. (01:09:40)

Cabin Fever (2002)

Audio problem: In the scene where Marcy tells Paul that he hurt her back (when they had sex) you can hear a clock ticking in the background. But in the scene a few minutes earlier where she talked him into having sex with her, that takes place in the same bedroom, the sound isn't there. (01:05:45)

Cabin Fever (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Paul begins telling the story of the mass murder in his town's bowling alley he says the alley was called "Lenny Mead's Brighton Bowl". But when we see the flashbacks of the massacre, the business name embroidered on the employees' shirts is "Black Sky Bowling" (00:19:00 - 00:21:05)

Cabin Fever (2002)

Trivia: The original dog hired to play the mad dog in the film was elderly and reportedly so friendly that it couldn't be made to seem the least bit threatening during filming. The producers were forced to find a replacement dog at late notice. The one they found (the one seen in the film) was just the opposite. He was so vicious that none of the cast or crew were able to go near him and great precautions had to be taken while his scenes were being filmed to assure everybody's safety.

Cabin Fever (2002)

Trivia: The director planned the "no condom" sex scene to be filmed with complete nudity, but Cerina Vincent, who had only recently done a great deal of gratuitous nudity in "Not Another Teen Movie" was worried about being associated too heavily with nude scenes so she refused to let her ass be shown. The director really wanted to preserve the nudity, though and so he eventually persuaded her to show precisely 1 inch of her ass in the scene. He personally measured the exposed area of her ass with a ruler to make sure he got the agreed upon inch, then the bed sheet was duct taped to her buttocks in this position to make sure the sheet didn't move and violate the agreement in either the director or Cerina Vincent's favor. This is why the bed sheet seems to be stuck to her ass in that scene - it is!

Trivia: Joey Kern suffered several separate injuries requiring him to be taken to hospital throughout filming. It played havoc with the movie's shooting schedule.

Cabin Fever (2002)

Trivia: Jordan Ladd's makeup for when we see her bare skull wasn't applied in front of a mirror, so the first time she was able to see herself was with the effect completed. The shock of seeing herself like that was reportedly so jarring that she broke out into tears.

Cabin Fever (2002)

Trivia: The crew member responsible for transporting the "Bert's decapitated body" prop decided that the best way of doing this was to strap it in to the passenger seat of his truck. Unfortunately, he was spotted by a highway patrol car while doing this and ended up being held at gunpoint by the cops, who believed the crewman was a murderer trying to dump his victim's body. The crewman was let go peacefully after the cops realized that the "body" was just a movie prop.

Cabin Fever (2002)

Character mistake: Paul tells Marcy he's leaving her to go look for Jeff. But soon afterwards, when Paul hears Marcy's dying screams, he runs back to the cabin from exact opposite direction to the one Jeff went when he ran off into the woods. Paul watched Jeff leave, so he would've known what direction he should've been searching in. (01:05:50 - 01:11:10)

Cabin Fever (2002)

Factual error: With a significant portion of Marcy's legs either shaved off her body or in a state of severe rot, it's doubtful she would even be able to stand up properly, let alone run away from a mad dog. And if she'd already lost as much blood as we later see smeared around the bathroom fixtures, she probably wouldn't even be conscious. (01:10:45 - 01:37:50)

Cabin Fever (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Marcy jumps up in the bath/shower after shaving the flesh off her legs, we see a lot of blood pooled around the wounds on her back when only seconds ago we saw that the wounds were scabby, but not bleeding at all. Not only that, but somehow the blood has managed to spill upwards, reaching several inches above the wounds it came from. Also, when she begins to jump up, she's facing the shower head directly, but when the camera angle changes, she springs up facing towards the bathroom mirror, which is about a 45 degree angle difference in direction. Cabin Fever (2002)

Plot hole: Marcy was killed because she was unable to unlock the tool shed door quickly enough to get inside where she'd be safe from the mad dog. So how did the dog get inside the tool shed where Paul finds him only minutes later? (01:10:50)

Cabin Fever (2002)

Continuity mistake: The cabin interior doesn't fit with its exterior. In the interior shots you can see that the front door opens in to the main living room, with a window beside it. Next to this window is a doorway to the main bedroom. In other shots, we see that this bedroom also has a window on that same wall. In the exterior shots, there is only one window on this wall, and the cabin's length is nowhere near long enough to fit two spacious rooms. (00:54:40)

Cabin Fever mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After Paul uses the Listerine as a disinfectant, there's a closeup on the bottle and you can see that the level of the Listerine left inside is just below the word "Listerine" on the label. Every time the bottle is seen after that, the level of liquid is higher. (01:03:00 - 01:10:25)
