Continuity mistake: During the first scene set in a prison cell, as Martin Luxford (played by Hugo Speer) is about to be released, there is a glitter ball made from an orange covered in tin foil. It is rotating first one way and then the other, as it has been spun by hand. As the film action cuts between the two characters, the ball mysteriously changes direction without having slowed down and at one point appears stopped, having previously been rotating rather fast.
Continuity mistake: When Daredevil kicks Bullseye off his motorcycle, Bullseye has nothing in his hands when he's flying through the air, but when he lands he's holding Daredevil's baton. Watch closely when Daredevil's kick connects, and you can see they never even come close enough for Bullseye to grab the baton, or for him to snatch it if it was dropped. (00:59:40)
Continuity mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne and others milking goats. The goats then get startled by a baby elephant and Wayne falls backwards on to the ground and you can see he takes the bowl with his right hand and the milk is thrown out of the bowl. In the next shot of him close up the bowl is on his head like a helmet when the bowl never even went on his head as he fell backwards. (01:09:20)
Continuity mistake: When McClane is fighting Col Stuart there is an up close shot where McClane kicks the Colonel and the Colonel grabs his leg. When the camera cuts away he is holding McClane's arm instead of his leg. (01:48:40)
Continuity mistake: When Smee gives Hook his nightcap drink, Hook takes it in his hand and holds it at the top of the goblet so that it is hidden under his hand. But in the very next shot he is holding it by the handle and the whole goblet is now visible with a small black umbrella sticking out the top. Additionally, the position of the small umbrella that sits in the goblet changes a few times. (01:02:40)
Continuity mistake: At Skull Rock, after the crocodile has nipped off a good bit of Hook's clothing, sock and shoe, when Hook rushes toward Smee in the boat the crocodile opens his mouth, and just as he swallows Hook he's nearly fully clothed and wearing both socks and both shoes.
Continuity mistake: In the wide-angle shots of the blue Willys (Jeep) wagon, the windshield is a 2-piece version with a vertical divider in the middle. The close-up shots don't have the divider.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning Ava shoots the man's phone out of his hand through the car window. When the car drives away all the windows are intact.
Continuity mistake: In the bowling alley, 'Pal' comes over to speak to Tia. During their conversation, the camera pans to Maisie throwing a bowling ball; however Tia is now sitting alone. Pal has disappeared. (00:40:10)
Continuity mistake: When Craig is sitting on Elroy's couch, he lights a joint and puts the lighter on the table. It disappears in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: When Dr. Frankenstein introduces himself to the monster with a soothing "Hello, there", his right hand is on the restraint over the monster's chest. The next shot shows the doctor placing his hand on the restraint again.
Continuity mistake: When Peyton returns to his lab after its destruction, a burnt picture of him and Julie is on the floor. The destroyed picture shows half of Peyton's face missing. Continuity mistake: At the Gator Motel, after Cledus and Bandit get part of the money, when Bandit starts crying about Frog and blows his nose into the money, there is a side shot showing a wad of bills in Bandit's shirt pocket before he actually puts the bills into his pocket in a following shot. Continuity mistake: As they hold up the van, they drill, then pull the windscreen out. When leaving the windscreen is back in. (00:05:35)
Continuity mistake: In the end, when Michael has grabbed Karen's ankle and is trying to pull her down into the basement, Allyson grabs a knife off the floor and stabs him. However, if you watch very closely, you can see she's already holding the knife in one shot before she grabs it. (It's the shot right before Laurie screams "I've got you!" to Karen.) You have to pay attention because it goes by quickly, but you can see Allyson lifting the knife into frame for a split second, even though she doesn't pick it up off the floor until about 15 seconds later.
Continuity mistake: During the chase scene on the bridge involving the tank, two cars (silver Toyota Corolla hatchback, licence NE34 12 and a black VW Bora, licence NU67 67) appear during many shots, often travelling in different directions on the bridge and either ahead or behind the chase.
Continuity mistake: After Sarah and Rios come out from the flooded cave, their clothes are bone dry even though there were almost fully submerged underwater. (01:01:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Mary visits Hancock for the first time at his house, she arrives from the air and crashes down on the ground, after a discussion inside they both walk outside together and Mary is shown getting into a car. In the next shot shown from above the house the car has disappeared and they both fly into the air.
Suggested correction: No, we see her drive up in the car, not fly in. But you are right that when we see them take off the car is missing.
You must have seen a different version of the movie I saw her land there, it's on Netflix.
You're right. I just saw the version on Netflix and she flies in, while the version from disc I have shows her drive up with a minute of dialog between them next to the car that is not in the Netflix version. I find it very surprising that there are two versions with that major of a difference.
An extended cut was released on DVD and Blu-Ray which has a couple extra scenes as well as modified scenes (including Mary driving to Hancock's). Netflix would have shown the theatrical cut version. (Or if I had to venture a guess, the UK release version as Netflix has a tendency to use those versions for some reason).
Continuity mistake: Either the first shot has a gratuitous view of the fort or the composite people neglected to add the fort in the second shot. Norrington says, "...this is the day that Capt. Jack Sparrow almost escaped. Take him away." The night shot that follows, shows the bridge archway, and beyond it the pier, Interceptor, the fort and its parapet. After Will breaks Jack out of prison, they approach the same archway and beyond it is the pier and Interceptor, but in this shot we don't see the fort and its parapet, nor the line that Jack slid down the day before.
