Other mistake: At the start of the episode, Espa picks one of the cards he is holding in his hand. With his right hand, he puts his fingers on the top of the card, then rotates his hand 180 degrees and rotates the card 180 degrees in doing so. Then a close-up of the card is shown where it is right side up, meaning that the cards in his hand must have been upside down if the card was right side up after being rotated. (00:01:50)

Continuity mistake: After Yugi says "I know Joey can beat him", it cuts back to the duel between Joey and Espa. In the shot of Joey, Rex can be seen behind him, but his bag (which was visible on the ground next to him throughout the previous episode) cannot be seen. Later in the episode, after Tristan asks Tea to give Joey a message, it cuts to a wide shot of the duel, and Rex's bag has suddenly reappeared on the ground next to him. (00:02:50 - 00:07:20)

Continuity mistake: When Espa says "Why not give me your Locator Card now?", there are four cards in his hand. The cards are aligned so that the card that is second to his right is nearest to the bottom. Deliberate mistake: Joey draws the Baby Dragon card from his deck, which he then summons to the field. Then, once he has summoned that monster to the field, he summons the monster Time Wizard, which he already had the card for in his hand. However, Joey never had this card in his hand at any point in the previous episode. It just became one of the cards in his hand during this episode. (00:03:53)

Other mistake: Joey uses the ability of Time Wizard to transform the Baby Dragon monster on his field into Thousand Dragon. When Joey's duel disk is shown after realising Jinzo was unaffected, he still has the Baby Dragon card on his duel disk instead of the Thousand Dragon card. (00:04:44)

Continuity mistake: When Joey realises that Time Wizard's ability hasn't affected Jinzo, he asks, "Where's the rust?" and his duel disk is at a slanted angle when he says this. When the shot cuts, the duel disk is at a level angle. (00:04:56)

Continuity mistake: When Joey activates the spell card Scapegoat, there are two background extras behind him to the left of the frame that change position between shots. One is a man in a blue sleeveless jacket whose arms are crossed in one shot, then uncrossed when the shot cuts. Another is a woman with a pink bag whose body is rotated in Joey's direction and her left forearm raised, but is facing directly forwards and her left arm is lowered when the shot cuts. (00:07:39)

Continuity mistake: Four Scapegoat tokens appear on the duel field when Joey activates the spell card Scapegoat. When the tokens appear, the red one and the yellow one are higher up than the pink and blue ones. When the shot cuts, all four tokens are level with each other. (00:07:42)

Continuity mistake: When Joey tells Espa to give him his Jinzo and Locator Card, Espa gets angry and starts raising his fists towards the crowd. At the end of the shot, he has his left fist raised. When the shot cuts, his left fist is lowered. (00:16:58)
