Audio problem: Throughout Corwin's scene with the two children on the street, and through Rod Serling's subsequent introduction to the episode, you can hear the loud hiss of fan blowers used to waft artificial snow onto the set. (00:04:50)
Revealing mistake: Mr. & Mrs. Castle wish for a million dollars in 5 and 10 dollar bills. But the bills they receive all have the same pattern printed on both sides, a pattern which which doesn't resemble any real US currency. There's also not nearly enough of the bills to total a million dollars. (00:12:30)
Living Doll - S5-E6
Continuity mistake: When Christie walks up the path, from the car, with her mother, the package she holds swaps arms between shots.
Living Doll - S5-E6
Continuity mistake: After Erich takes Talky Tina back out of the trash can and pulls her from the burlap bag, the doll's left arm is pointing straight up above its head. When the shot cuts to a different angle, the arm is suddenly down at Tina's side, even though Erich didn't move it. (00:20:30)
Continuity mistake: Just before Sport and Jeb come back from their first visit with Aunt T, their parents are walking around the pool deck where it's fairly dry. But when the children come back, the area where they are helped out of the pool is suddenly very wet, probably from earlier takes. (00:13:40)
Mr. Dingle, the Strong - S2-E19
Revealing mistake: Dingle lifts the bar bully over his head and twirls him around. But The Dummy used to achieve this effect has a distinctly lifeless, plastic face, and more than once, the wires suspending it are visible. (00:18:00)
Revealing mistake: The sky behind the hanging scene at the end has several prominent wrinkles in it, betraying the fact that it's not a sky, but a cloth backdrop. In some shots, you can also see shadows on the cloth. (00:19:00)
Deliberate mistake: The first of two twists meant to come at the end of this episode was the revelation that the mysterious dark rider chasing Anne was herself - 25 years in the future. According to writer Richard Matheson, the director chose, for some bizarre reason, to deliberately spoil this "reveal" by inserting a close-up of the rider early on, showing the viewers who she was at the outset.
Mr. Dingle, the Strong - S2-E19
Factual error: Though this episode is set in then-present-day 1961, the fistful of prop money the bartender is holding is not contemporary. It appears to be copies of 1880s U.S. Currency, though it's been reproduced as smaller, 20th Century sized bills rather than the larger ones that were standard in the 1800s. All in all, not something his bar patrons would likely be paying the bartender with in the 1960s. (00:16:40)
Revealing mistake: In the boarding house hallway, Ed yanks the pay phone's receiver off the hook - and the entire wall to which the phone is attached wobbles. (00:11:00)
Continuity mistake: When the bottle falls on the shop floor, it changes positions between the time it settles and the moment it begins to smoke. (00:05:50)
Nightmare at 20,000 Feet - S5-E3
Revealing mistake: At one point, when the gremlin is about to rip open part of the engine, you can see he has a white sole on his foot, part of the costume.
Five Characters in Search of an Exit - S3-E14
Factual error: When all 5 prisoners stand on each other's shoulders with the ballerina on top, she still can't reach the edge of the cylinder. But when just the 4 men do the same thing and the major throws his rope over the edge, he is somehow far closer to the top than he should be. He ought to be the ballerina's height and then some away - but he isn't. (00:21:30)
Factual error: As well as the obvious problem with translating an unknown language as if it was a code, there is no chance that the word "serve" would have the same double meaning in English and Kanamit. It would be like the word "dope" and its French equivalent meaning "idiot" and "illegal drugs" in both languages.
Visible crew/equipment: As Ferris is standing in front of the bakery, you can see the reflection of several crew members in the window. You can also see the reflection of another crew member on the glass inside the phone booth.
Passage on the Lady Anne - S4-E17
Continuity mistake: During their conversation over tea, Mr. McKenzie tells the Ransomes about the other people aboard ship. One elderly couple, the Whiteaways, are sitting in the background in almost complete shadow - until McKenzie introduces them. Then we see them in sudden brilliant light, and they've shifted their seating positions relative to the table. When we cut back to the master shot, they're back in shadow and back in their original positions. (00:29:55)
Continuity mistake: The flying saucer the old woman hacks to pieces with an axe is noticeably not the same one that lands in her attic in the beginning. A cruder version was built for the axing scene because the model used was a studio keepsake - the original spaceship from the classic sf film "Forbidden Planet." (00:23:00)
Audio problem: For reasons unknown, the child's voice throughout this episode is played by an adult actress trying to sound childlike - and the unconvincing imitation is painfully obvious. (00:19:25)
Mr. Denton on Doomsday - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: The rum stains on Denton's shirt move in between shots before he starts singing "How Dry I Am." (00:01:45)
Continuity mistake: When the man rolls the dice onto the bed, one falls off, yet in the next shot we see both of them land on the bed.
Answer: It's explained in the episode. The aliens are experimenting to see how humans react to various scenarios. This just happens to involve them using super strength.
Thanks. It's been a long time since I saw the episode so I forgot.
