Factual error: In the opening shot of the episode they show a plane landing at an airport, and it say Dulles International Airport on the screen. There is even a nice shot of the US Capitol building in the background, the problem is that Dulles Airport is about 25 miles from Washington, if the shot is real it was filmed at Reagan National Airport.
Plot hole: At first the victim (Careful Lionel) is described as not returning to pick up his new shirt in November 1958, and possessing love letters dated from 1957 through early winter (November) 1958. Booth reports the fallout shelter where Lionel's body was discovered was sealed in 1958. Later Lionel is described as reported missing by his boss in January 1960, and the illegitimate child he fathered was born in 1960 as well. That would mean his boss didn't notice he was gone for over a year, and his pregnant girlfriend was with child for at least 14 months.
Other mistake: Hodges and Angie find a piece of paper buried with Bones' mother and they tell Bones that the date of the movie is September 22,1993. The ticket has two dates, September 22,1993 and in two different places it says April 22,1993. The Fugitive was released August 6th,1993.
Continuity mistake: During the scene when Booth and Bones are driving to tell Angela that her boyfriend is dead, the scenery behind Booth jumps suddenly mid shot. Initially the scene is of a wide plain, then suddenly a mountain range appears. This scene was obviously shot on a sound stage, with the scenic background being projected onto screens around the vehicle, an old trick in movie making. It seems that somebody mistimed the loop of the tape they were using.
Continuity mistake: When Bones goes to open the vent on the wall in the mortuary while standing on the coffin, the shot from inside the grate shows her taking a step up and being exactly at head height for it. Only problem is that in the shot previous to this she was significantly short of the grate, and there was nothing on the coffin lid for her to step up onto.

Continuity mistake: When Angela asks to see the girl's drawing, in the shot from the girl's perspective as she hands the pad over, the painting's quite small in the centre of the page. When it then cuts to Angela's point of view it takes up nearly the whole page.

Factual error: Booth is supposed to be a (former) Army sniper. Military personnel chosen to be snipers are expert shooters. At the young mans grave, Booth places a sharpshooter badge on the boys casket. Being a sniper, Booth should be an expert and, as such, should have placed an expert badge instead of a sharpshooter. (Rifle and Pistol sharpshooter badges in rank lowest to highest: marksman, sharpshooter, then expert.)

Continuity mistake: At 20:13 into the episode, a bunch of victims are shown on the computer screen. If you read their info, several are from Arlington, Virginia. Booth has been trying to find victims from out of state, but says nothing when these come up on the screen. Shortly after this is shown, Hodgins tells him about a victim in Lynchberg, Virginia. He then takes action as the victim is from out of state. He should've noticed the others.
Character mistake: The finger bone found in the dead man's hand was said to come from somewhere near Assateague Island, to which Hodgins replies, "That's where the money pit is." The "Money Pit" is actually located on Oak Island in Nova Scotia, not on Assateague Island, in Maryland/Virginia. He also says that they dug it out to about 150 feet, which is also incorrect. The 1971 Triton excavation was able to dig a shaft to a depth of 235 feet. What is said to be on Assateague island is the legendary lost Spanish galleon La Galga, not the Money Pit.
Factual error: This episode was supposed to be staged outside of a small Washington State town. About midway, they cut to a mountain background scene that is Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, California, then pan to Booth and Brennan talking to the sheriff. Anyone who does not realize an iconic landmark like Half Dome is not in Washington was asleep in Geography class.

Factual error: When the gang is reviewing mall security footage to find the kids, Angela says her maximum resolution is 640x480 pixels 'per square inch'. Digital resolution is not defined per inch - it's defined by the entire image. Secondly; moments later, she refers to having another angle of the scene - but the camera shows the very same shot as was just seen.
Plot hole: The surgical instrument that killed 'Susan' was the same one used on her jaw during her plastic surgery. 'Leslie" would not have been able to get the instrument to use to murder her and then put it back in the case, since it was still in the office in the case when Bones and Booth came to get it.
Continuity mistake: When Booth and Brennan are speaking with the widow explaining that her husband was murdered. Brennan has her arms folded across her chest, when the shot changes and you see her in the mirror her arms are hanging down at her sides, then when it changes back her arms are folded again.
Other mistake: Just after Booth realises the drive by was done to help the gang member escape, we see him run up to Bones who's on the forensic platform. However Booth doesn't swipe his pass to allow him entry. Whenever anyone walks up without swiping the card, a siren goes off and the security guard stops them. Regardless of who they are, as demonstrated in several episodes.
Visible crew/equipment: When at the judge's home, Bones explains about needing the body exhumed. In the picture behind her there is a black line reflected from a boom arm. This can't be from anything in the house as the camera and people stay still but the reflection goes away.
Audio problem: After Zac has decrypted the code, Hodgins states he's got something. When he starts to say the line the camera doesn't show him. However it changes halfway through "got." Once the camera angle has changed you can see Hodgins' mouth and it's not moving despite us hearing him speak.
Continuity mistake: The lawyer gives Booth the file on Howard Epps and he opens it with a picture on the left hand (screen right) side. Camera shows the file open and that photo is now on the right under a bulldog clip there fore making it impossible the photo fell and swapped sides when opened. The picture also rotates.
Continuity mistake: At the end after shooting Farheed, we see Booth with both hands on the railing. Camera shows a secret service operative opening the camera bag containing the bomb then cuts back to Booth who suddenly has his gun back in his hands and raised as if he had just fired.
Continuity mistake: When the director is looking at the 2 photos Booth hands him, there is a shot of the two photos one on top of the other neatly. Camera changes and they are no longer neatly on top of each other. The bottom one is sticking out and should have been visible in the previous shot.
Factual error: When Angela is running her computer model of the victims' chase behind the wall in the club, she says it "got tight in there - 15 centimetres." 15cm is 6 inches. It isn't possible that a grown adult could pass through a path that narrow - it would have to be at least twice that, just to breathe in & out.
Factual error: When Bones is doing the autopsy on the cannibal victims, she dictates her findings into a tape recorder. She refers to a 'low calibre' gun, rather than the correct 'small calibre' reference. Someone who deals with victims frequently, and who is so specific & detailed, would be well aware of the proper references for such things.
Continuity mistake: The assistant transplant coordinator tells Bones that another woman, Kelly DeMarco, had the same bone graft donor as Amy's. In the scene where they are analyzing the bone from Ms. DeMarco, Zach says she 'died of lung cancer 2 months ago.' Less than 10 seconds later, Booth says that she 'never smoked a cigarette in her whole life, only to die of lung cancer 8 months ago.'
Continuity mistake: Booth and Brennan arrive at the crime scene in the beginning of the show. After she has confirmed that the bones in the trunk belonged to a woman, a black car drives by and shots are fired. At first, the trunk of the car is less than halfway opened. Cut to the next shot and the trunk is fully opened.
