Plot hole: After Al steps out of the coyote doody he goes to Bud and puts an arm around him. Then they walk together towards the same spot - without looking down. (00:03:35)
Revealing mistake: When Kelly enjoys her triumph at the middle of the stairs you can see a shadow on the wall right from her - obviously Al stands behind the wall waiting for his cue. (00:19:00)
Continuity mistake: When Al Bundy drops the stiletto shoe into the fish tank, he reaches down into the tank to get it and his sleeve and hand are dry as he shows the shoe. Also, hardly any water drips off the shoe. (00:17:00)
Continuity mistake: The stolen Dodge is a 1974 model. Peggy tells Kelly that she was conceived in it. However, the episode "Christmas" (Season 7, Episode 12) has a flashback to Christmas 1974, showing both Kelly and Bud. Kelly's height had been marked on a door since 1972.

Continuity mistake: Marcy gets two cans of soda for her and Peg to go with their salad. Camera changes shots and it's now two glasses of soda.
Revealing mistake: Peg is making Al a steak. Problem is the burner isn't even on.
Revealing mistake: Kelly is standing by the clock on the stairs. You can see Al and Peg's shadow on the wall waiting for Kelly to come up the steps, so they can come down. (00:02:59)
Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the episode you can actually see a crew member at the door waiting for his cue to throw the tumble weed through the door.
Continuity mistake: Kelly knocks the lampshade off the lamp. Next shot shows it put back on although no-one is around it.
Continuity mistake: Marcy's floral headpiece falls off during the backyard wedding scene, then, in the next shot, after she hits Al with her flowers, it appears on her head again. (00:18:30)
Other mistake: Peg reads from a headline saying "[Marcy] announces NBC fall schedule, people still disappointed." But the text below it reads "State officials..." showing the text doesn't belong with that headline. Also when you see each headline the article is the same for each one.

Plot hole: The supermarket director orders the photographer to take a photo of Al's special shopping cart. Then he turns around a little towards the cart. When the camera flashes, his right shoulder has to be in the whole left side of that picture. (00:07:50)

Revealing mistake: When Al 'bowls' Jefferson out of the way you can see the stuntman jump high and fall back into some kind of holding wire. It's an annoyingly bad stunt. (00:19:45)
Rock of Ages - S7-E9
Continuity mistake: In this episode, Al has taken on the persona of Axel Bundy, a rock star, so he can fly first class with older rock stars. But before they start a jam in the first class lounge pre-flight, one of them calls him AL when he's prodding Al to join the group when all they knew him by was the name Axel.
Continuity mistake: Al and Bud are being hunted because they are the final male Bundys. However, earlier, in Baby Makes Money (Season 4?) Al and Peg went to the funeral Of Al's uncle, Stymie. There were other male Bundys. The heirs had to produce a male heir and name him after Uncle Stymie to get all the inheritance. The 3 England Show episodes all have the premise that Al and Bud are the only male Bundys left.
The House That Peg Lost - S3-E16
Plot hole: Marcy and Steve live on the left-hand side of Al and Peg yet when they come home and see their house is gone Peg is looking out the window in the front door saying they're looking at the hole now they're looking over here.
Other mistake: When at the gas station, they are out of gas. He doesn't put any gas in but later Peggy starts the car up and drives away.
Poppy's By the Tree (1) - S2-E1
Revealing mistake: When Al, Peg, and the kids get to their room, notice the "hole" in the blanket on the bed. It's there the entire episode so at the end, the killer can shove the machete up through it.
Continuity mistake: Al takes the kids camping. When he leaves the house, his shirt is light blue. When he comes out from the bushes in the woods, it's dark blue with red stripes.
Revealing mistake: At the start of the episode, Peg is making popcorn on the stove. It's making a sizzling sound like she's really popping it but the burner isn't even on.





Answer: It's implied that Steve filed for divorce since in s04e16, "You Gotta Know When to Hold 'Em", Marcy says that Steve is suing for alimony. Alimony is something that has to be requested when filing for divorce. Although the show doesn't spend time on the actual legal proceedings of their divorce.
