Continuity mistake: Peter and Lois are in Meg's room and are standing in the middle of the room on her rug. Then, in the shot where Peter challenges Lois to a race around the world, suddenly they are standing next to her window at the wall. (00:06:05)
Continuity mistake: When Lois and Peter walk into Meg's room to comfort her, she has a Luke Perry poster on the wall above her bed next to the mirror. After the cutaway gag of Peter working as a Ghostbuster in high school, the poster has now vanished off her wall. Or it has moved so far to the right it's now out of frame. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: When Meg is telling the university dean that she is president of the Luke Perry Fan Club, Peter is suddenly no longer beside her. Also, the distance between her and Lois grows, the chairs they are sitting on suddenly become smaller, the bookshelf behind them suddenly becomes much more shallow, like it's cardboard and it's wider, and the blue books on the left of the screen change labels. Continuity mistake: In the Dean's office, he has papers on his desk looking over Meg's transcript. In the shots showing Peter, Lois and Meg, the desk is clear with no papers on it. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: When the university dean is looking at Meg's transcript, the folder of other papers he has on his desk suddenly moves back with more of the large white paper underneath it moving. And the text boxes at the top of the paper he's holding vanish in a closer shot. (00:04:31)
Continuity mistake: When Stewie finds the chemistry lab, the door knob is on the left side. Moments later, when the processor pushes Stewie back out of the room, the knob is now on the right side of the door and much bigger. (00:03:12)
Continuity mistake: Stewie enters the Chemistry Lab at the university and is stopped by a professor. In the background is an anatomy diagram of a human body. Between shots, lots of the detail disappears, including a blue circle, some organs, several lines of text, and the orange and green circles change size, shape and position. (00:03:24)
Continuity mistake: Brian, Chris and Stewie enter the Physics Department of the university, and Room 105 is on the left side of the hallway. As they walk down the hall, they pass Room 105 again, but on the right side of the hall. (00:03:05)
Continuity mistake: After Peter tries to bribe the admission at the University, he, Lois, and Meg sit down on a waiting couch as Lois says she had friends who got shot at her old school. There is a painting of a yellow building on the wall above and behind them. It has 8 windows at the top. In the next shot, it just has 7 windows at the top. Also, the bushes and road are drawn a little differently with less road visible through the bottom bush. (00:02:08)
Continuity mistake: The family is standing outside the gate of Brown University, and their car is on the left, parked just off to the side behind Meg. In the next shot, the car vanishes. You can tell where it was supposed to be by the position of the white lines on the road, meaning no, it's not just off camera. Where the line is shown, the front of the car should be visible behind Meg. (00:01:19)
Continuity mistake: After La Toya Jackson says the prayer in Mayor West's office, the military personnel that were behind Mayor West vanish in the next shot. (00:20:55)
Continuity mistake: At the pool party with the other world leaders in Joe's pool, Achmed is cooking on the grill and Stewie is standing on a blue stool next to him. Moments later, in a closer shot of Achmed, the stool Stewie is on is suddenly brown with grey legs. (00:18:18 - 00:18:58)
Continuity mistake: In the kitchen after Petoria is cut off from the world, the fridge is shown with two notes on the freezer door next to the handle with scribbled writing on them. After Stewie takes a dump in his newspaper diaper, it cuts to a different closer angle, and now the writing on the notes has vanished. Usually in animation, details being lost in a further out shot is normal; however, this is details lost in a closer angle. (00:17:42)
Continuity mistake: When Chris tells Peter that some guy won't let him go to school, Peter turns so that his front doorway threshold is to his right. But then, when it cuts to the next shot with Peter asking "him and what army?", suddenly his back is to the doorway again. (00:14:07)
Continuity mistake: In the UN Cafeteria, Peter goes to sit down next to some other world leaders for lunch. Between shots, the size and shape of the food trays change, and also the Asian guy's tray vanishes altogether. (00:12:50)
Continuity mistake: After Robert E. Lee loses the drinking contest to Griffin, he sets his mug down and it is under half full. In the next shot, suddenly it's about three-quarters full. (00:10:08)
Continuity mistake: In the Ulysses S. "Griffin" cutaway gag, just when Griffin and Lee go to start chugging their beer, the soldier behind Griffin suddenly goes from brown hair to blonde. The soldiers also get closer together between shots. (00:10:04)
Continuity mistake: Peter enters Adam West's office, and the words "Adam West Mayor" are on the door. Adam West then tackles Peter to the ground and starts punching him in the next shot. During that moment, part of the letters are still seen, and the "OR" at the end of "MAYOR" is noticeably much smaller, and the "R" is a different shape. (00:06:45)
Answer: Lacey Chabert was the actress who originally voiced Meg in early episodes. She left of her own accord due to being in school and other acting work; Seth MacFarlane has stated there was no tension with her leaving, but it makes for a handy joke for the show.
