The Simpsons

Tree House of Horror III: The Simpson's Halloween Special III - S4-E5

Plot hole: At the theatre in the "King Homer" bit, the audience are treated to a traditional showgirl spectacle. But the girls have no curtain behind them, and so the audience should have seen Homer the ape, but they act completely surprised a minute later when Homer comes on.

The Joy of Sect - S9-E13

Plot hole: When the group are watching the brainwashing video, you can see Burns in the audience. Why is he there? He wasn't brainwashed with the rest of the group as we saw later in the episode. Later, he just disappears from The Front row.

Lisa's Sax - S9-E3

Plot hole: In this episode, Homer repeatedly says that they have no air-con or thermostat, but we saw that they had a thermostat in the first clip show episode. What happened to it?

The Bob Next Door - S21-E22

Plot hole: Warren's (as Bob) face falls off and tries to hold it with his hand. Yet when he appears in the next scene, his face is totally sealed with nothing to seal with. (00:16:25 - 00:17:55)

Casual Person

The Parent Rap - S13-E2

Plot hole: Homer and Bart can still change their clothes despite being tethered together.

Casual Person

Simpsons Bible Stories - S10-E18

Plot hole: Somehow, despite being enslaved and being nowhere near anything that could help them, the Jews have a camel, which we did not see coming across the channel.

Homer and Lisa Exchange Cross Words - S20-E6

Plot hole: Gil would have been disqualified for cheating at the Crossword Championship. (00:15:00)

Casual Person

The PTA Disbands - S6-E21

Plot hole: When Bart locks Principal Skinner and Mrs Krabappel in Skinner's office, and tells them that they can't come out until they've reached an agreement, why didn't Skinner and Krabappel just climb out Skinner's office window instead of spending hours pounding on the door yelling to be let out?

New Kid on the Block - S4-E8

Plot hole: When Bart prank-calls Moe and tells him his name is Jimbo Jones, Bart says that he lives at 1094 Evergreen Terrace instead of 742 Evergreen Terrace, where Jimbo and Bart are. If Moe had taken those directions, he wouldn't have arrived at the house, instead he would have gone somewhere different.

Continuity mistake: This is a mistake for the introduction from seasons 2-20 (1991-2009). When Homer screams, he turns round. You see this in a wide shot. There are no boxes to the right of the door in the garage. However, two just appear out of thin air when he runs through the garage. (00:01:50)

Tree House of Horror V - S6-E6

Question: Homer travels back in time and causes changes by what he does in the past, like stepping on a bug. I once saw a movie with the same basic plot: some people travel back in time and are told to be careful not to disturb anything, but when they return to their time everything has changed. In the end they discover it was because they stepped on a butterfly. Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Answer: I'm not sure if this is the one you're thinking of, but an episode of "Ray Bradbury Theatre," called "A Sound of Thunder," dealt with a similar matter: a group of hunters travel back in time to hunt dinosaurs, only to find things have changed when they get back because someone stepped on a butterfly.
