Mad Dogs and Servicemen - S3-E13
Other mistake: Hawkeye, Henry and Trapper are playing scrabble. The board is in an illegal state - in the lower right corner 'it', 'jot', 'joy' 'yearn' and 'in' are not connected to the rest of the words. Since the others call Hawkeye on his non-existant word, I'm assuming they're playing properly. (00:15:35)
Factual error: Another premature mention of Godzilla when Col. Blake announces that night's movie, "Godzilla and the Bobby Soxer". (00:01:57)
Continuity mistake: The mud spots on Lt.Smith's face change from scene to scene. (00:09:45)
Continuity mistake: During the scene which culminates in Frank declaring the camp dry the patches of water on his helmet change position. (00:05:50)
Factual error: When reminiscing about Radar's appendectomy, Henry says it took a long time to find because it was behind his secum. The appendix is behind the secum in more than 50% of people, so this shouldn't have fooled a doctor of Henry's caliber. (00:09:00)
Continuity mistake: Hawkeye is in the Swamp talking with Trapper. Hawkeye leaves and walks past the tent - Trapper is not inside. (00:07:30)
Continuity mistake: In one of the earlier episodes Henry becomes the father of a baby boy; his other two children have been established as Molly and Janey, both girls. In "Abyssinia Henry," Henry get his discharge papers and wanted to call home with the good news. He tells Radar that he will have to wait a while, as his son, Andrew, will be practising his trombone. As Henry only has one son, Andrew has to be the son who was born while Henry was in Korea. Even if Henry was in Korea from the very first days of the war, by the time he left his son can't be any older than 18 months - hardly likely to be playing a trombone.
Aid Station - S3-E19
Other mistake: After Hawkeye gets back from Aid Station, Trapper is making a cup of tea. When he tries to hang the tea bag on a nail on the tent post, it unwinds and falls to the floor.
Suggested correction: This isn't a mistake, especially since we don't see it hanging back up in another continuous shot.
Revealing mistake: As the first chopper lands on the pad, you can see that the pilot is Cowboy, a clear reuse of the shot from the episode "Cowboy"
The General Flipped at Dawn - S3-E1
Continuity mistake: As the chopper lands on the pad, and the ambulance comes up, the pilot is as two different men when Hawkeye and Trapper approach and arrive at the chopper, meaning the landing was stock footage.
Continuity mistake: In the office, Radar is getting ready for bed, and has taken off his shirt. When he goes to tuck in his Teddy, he suddenly has sleeves.
Adam's Ribs - S3-E11
Continuity mistake: When Hawkeye throws his food in the mess tent, it lands on the tent screens behind Radar and Klinger. The food is there in the close up shots and in the wide shots it disappears.
Factual error: In the beginning, Hawkeye says that the patient was full of shrapnel from a claymore. M*A*S*H was set in the early 50's, and the M18 Claymore was only in the development stages in 1952, and not accepted and battle used until Vietnam in 1961.
Visible crew/equipment: When Trapper and Hawkeye walk into the Swamp and find Dr. Pak waiting for them, the edge of the tent set can be seen at the top left corner of the screen.
Visible crew/equipment: While the Greek shipment of food is being brought into the mess tent, when the cook carrying the lamb walks behind the table, the edge of the tent set can be seen at the top right corner of the screen.
Visible crew/equipment: After Henry meets with Colonel Blanche, the Luxembourg Commander, it cuts to Hawkeye in the Swamp continuing his recording to his father, and when Trapper describes his recipe for the dry martini we can see the open edge of the tent set and a spotlight at the top left corner of the screen.
Visible crew/equipment: After the scene in the x-ray room with Henry asking Hawkeye and Trapper to "read between the lines" in the letter from Henry's wife, when it cuts to Radar on the phone the shadow of the boom mic can be seen on the wall at the top left side of the screen, right before it's pulled up.
The General Flipped at Dawn - S3-E1
Visible crew/equipment: After Hawkeye disobeys General Steele's orders, when it cuts to the preliminary hearing in the mess tent, the chalk T-mark can be seen on the floor under the bench at the chopper pilot's feet, where he will stand in a moment.
