Continuity mistake: At the beginning when Rachel and Monica talk about the free coffee sample, Rachel puts it down on the counter to her right. In the next shot it's lying to her left with no time to have gotten there. After that it switches from the right to the left and back again. (00:01:25)

Visible crew/equipment: When the scene cuts from Joey and Mr. Geller watching the game, to several people watching the game, a boom mic is visible at the top of the screen and the camera tilts slightly. (00:19:00)

Continuity mistake: When Rachel says, 'One can never be too Alan, ' we see the stick pom-poms that Ross is holding are up facing Monica, but in the next shot the pom-poms are facing the floor, but after Chandler says 'I personally could have a gallon of Alan' in Monica's closeup we see the stick pom-poms are up again facing Monica. Continuity mistake: While everyone's at the restaurant Rachel dips a tortilla chip into guacamole and gets some on her hand. When Paolo takes a bite from the chip he also eats the guacamole off Rachel's hand while she's still holding the rest of the tortilla chip, but in the next closeup Rachel's hand is empty, then in the next shot the remaining tortilla chip reappears in Rachel's hand. Other mistake: In the first shot of Central Perk in "The One with the Monkey" and "The One with the Dozen Lasagnas", the same footage has been used twice because the same three people are having the same conversation in both episodes.
The One with the Fake Monica - S1-E21
Factual error: The monkey is allowed outside his cage at an airport gate. Animals, with the exception of assistance dogs, cannot be transported in the cabin with passengers, and this rule applied in the 1990s as well. There is no way a monkey would be brought through a security checkpoint into a terminal concourse of a NYC airport and allowed aboard a regular commercial airliner.

Continuity mistake: Monica's snort, Joey's knuckle cracking, and Phoebe's hair chewing are never seen in any other episode, before or after this one.

Continuity mistake: When Paul the Wine Guy first comes to Monica's apartment, Phoebe is standing in the kitchen telling Rachel that she just pulled out four eyelashes. But in the very next shot, you can see her sitting in an armchair in the living room. Other mistake: When Ross and Rachel are out on the balcony alone for the first time, there are no lights on in NYC apart from candle lights. Look in the BBQ behind them though to see a very bright and very white light reflected in the paintwork. (00:13:50)

Continuity mistake: Toward the end of the episode, the exterior shot of Central Perk shows about 8-10 people inside the cafe, at the coffee bar, at the tables. But the next interior shot shows the cafe is empty except for our six Friends, lounging in the closed cafe while Rachel cleans up. (00:12:15)

Audio problem: The camera cuts briefly to Chandler as the friends are discussing Monica's love life. During this very brief time, you can see Phoebe's mouth moving but there is no audio of her voice, and Monica's voice is heard talking in the background instead. (00:01:10)

Revealing mistake: When Chandler bangs his head on the bathroom wall after realising Janice is at the restaurant, the wall wobbles, revealing it is part of the set. (00:04:15)
