Patton (1970)

Revealing mistake: Several maps of Europe shown in the film have Germany divided into East and West, and show national borders from 1945 onwards.

JFK (1991)

Deliberate mistake: The eyewitness testimony that placed Oswald in the lunchroom at the book despository didn't come to light until the House Select Committee on Assassination in 1978, many years after the Shaw trial.

Amadeus (1984)

Factual error: During the ballet scene in the Marriage of Figaro, many of the costumes worn by the dancers have visible zips on them, which of course had not been invented then.

Amadeus (1984)

Continuity mistake: When Mozart is playing billiards (Director's Cut only) the balls move around on the table between camera shots, without him necessarily hitting any.

Audio problem: The keyboard Kevin gets from the music shop seems to have an interesting trait, in that the high notes are on the left. This must either be bad "audio dubbing" or something to do with the shot perhaps being reversed, although I doubt this. It's most likely a post-production audio error as very very few keyboards or pianos are configured in this way.

Audio problem: At one point, I think it's when they arrive at the dead Hydra, Aeetes' Captain (with the brown "bobble-hat" and the moustache) says a line like "Some of you up there....and that way," and is pointing to direct the soldiers. It is very obvious that he is not saying this line and that it was dubbed on afterwards.

Revealing mistake: Towards the end of the film Medea gets shot by an arrow. If you look closely you can see that no arrow is visible in the air, and that it would have to pass through Jason to actually hit her where it does, as he is in the way.

Loaded Weapon 1 (1993)

Visible crew/equipment: When Emilio and Sam arrive at the "Squealer's Motel" and get out of the car, the camera man and sound man are visible in the window behind them as they walk towards the group of police.

Loaded Weapon 1 (1993)

Continuity mistake: In the flashback where the dog (Claire) is spraying lighter fluid on the barbeque, notice the direction of the nozzle before and after the explosion. Before it is pointing towards the barbeque and afterwards it is right angles to it, facing towards the camera, meaning that if it were squeezed it would not hit the barbeque at all. And I very much doubt the explosion could cause the bottle to rotate in this manner.

Loaded Weapon 1 (1993)

Continuity mistake: Near the start of the film where Emilio is making himself a very large drink, the bottles of alcohol move about on the bar between shots and camera angles.

Factual error: When Lawrence arrives at the Suez Canal, the ship which sails past is The Priam, of a 1950's design, and I think actually belonged to a company called "Blue Funnel Line."

Junior (1994)

Audio problem: There is a scene in the lab where Arnie is explaining his pregnancy to Emma. The shot cuts to a side-on, rear shot of Arnie and it is very clear his mouth or jaw isn't moving and yet you can hear him talking.

The Germans - S1-E6

Revealing mistake: When Basil is turning the fire alarm on and off, he puts the key next to the red box and turns it. However, there isn't a slot for the key to actually go in; he's just holding it close and turning it.

Speed (1994)

Continuity mistake: When Keanu and Jeff are on their way to the building at the start of the film, their car flies over a hill and lands back on the road. The right hand front wheel takes a really nasty knock as it lands and looks ready to come off, and yet in the next shot they arrive safely with no apparent difficulty driving the car. (00:06:00)

Suggested correction: The wheel takes a knock but at no point does it look "ready to come off"

Meet the Parents (2000)

Continuity mistake: When the characters are standing in the den after the cat has ruined everything, there are plates all over the floor. There is a "T-shaped" pile of plates around De Niro's right foot that almost rotates between cuts.
