Other mistake: While Homer is in Lisa's bedroom trying to make things right with her, there are three pictures taped to Lisa's mirror. After Homer tells her the music may help, in the next shot Homer walks over to stand behind Lisa. Those pictures taped to Lisa's mirror are weirdly behind Homer's reflection, as if the pictures are taped to the wall behind Homer. Three shots later, when Homer tells Lisa he can fix the dollhouse, his reflection is accurate in relation to those three pictures taped to the mirror. (00:19:20)

Continuity mistake: When Bart opens the door for Krusty and Sophie, Bart is standing on a floor mat, but in the next exterior shot, that indoor floor mat has vanished. Other changes include the cane's handle within Krusty's grip facing the opposite way, as well as Krusty's and Sophie's positions at the outdoor purple mat. (00:06:50)

Continuity mistake: While Krusty is in the hospital talking to Sophie, he pops the IV line from his arm so the tubing hangs down from the fluid bag. But when Krusty tells Sophie that he knows she's reaching out, suddenly Krusty's IV line is properly inserted in the cannula again, only to change back to the tubing hanging down. Also, the white pillow propping up Krusty's foot vanishes and reappears during these shots. (00:05:15)

The same thing occurs again later. First, when Homer is standing outside the office while Fred talks to Burns about the benefits package, and also when Homer can't stay for Marge's turkey breakfast. Other mistake: At the end of the episode Lisa and Bart watch Itchy and Scratchy in the TV room, which is beside the kitchen at the back of their house. The TV room has a window that faces the backyard, with the record player on a shelf in front of that window. The problem is when Bart looks out the back window and sees Lester skateboarding past the house, the view outside is actually the street in front of the Simpson house, not their backyard as it should be.

Continuity mistake: After John shows up in his car to take the Simpson family for a drive, Marge has her purse strap hanging off her left shoulder when she asks Homer to at least say hello to John. In the next shot, as she tells Homer that he liked John that morning, note Marge's purse strap is missing from her shoulder, but the purse is still there just hanging in midair under her arm. The strap reappears in its proper place in the next shot. (00:07:50)
