Deliberate mistake: During Peter's party, when the girls start to gather around Peter to try and convince him that he's not dull, there's a closeup of Peter that's a flipped shot. Additionally, when everyone runs out for the fire drill, Peter's striped tie is tied very differently - it goes from grey/gold at the top to burgundy at the top.

Deliberate mistake: In episode "Redecorating" Lucy wins new furniture, then in the next episode "Ricky Loses His Voice" the new furniture's delivered to the apartment, and the new couch has two normal and identical seat cushions. Starting in the next episode "Lucy is Enceinte" until the episode "Lucy Wants New Furniture", in some scenes the couch has the identical short cushions, however, in other scenes one of its seat cushions (depending on the episode, it's either left or right) is much higher than the other. For example, in "Lucy Hires a Maid" the higher seat cushion's on left side while Lucy waits for her lunch, then after Ethel urges Lucy to fire the maid the short cushion's on the left. The uneven cushions are usually seen in scenes with either Desi or another male actor, who sit on the side of the couch which has the higher seat cushion. There are even scenes where both of the seat cushions are the higher ones, such as in "Lucy's Last Birthday."

Deliberate mistake: When Lucy makes Little Ricky cry instead of laugh, in the closeup we see the adorable real baby, but when Ricky walks away in the wideshot it's an obvious doll sitting in the crib. (00:01:25)

Deliberate mistake: During the fire Marge runs back into the house and goes to the kitchen cabinet that has a "keepsake cabinet" nameplate and a keyhole, in order to remove the wedding video, but the nameplate and keyhole didn't exist before. (00:33:35)

Deliberate mistake: The door to Monica's bedroom is open in many shots, such as when Ross introduces Julie, and we can see that there's a wall (with a framed picture) directly opposite the doorway, but when Phoebe's giving Monica the haircut they're in Monica's bedroom and there's no such wall in front of the door.

Deliberate mistake: In the closeup of the license plate on the governor's car, the words over and under the plate number are deliberately camouflaged to be unrecognizable. The original words are "drive safely" and "North Carolina."

Deliberate mistake: While Luke and Andy are in the house, Barney, Gomer, and Otis are hiding on the porch, and Barney has the idea to turn off the lights in the house, so he goes to the circuit box located beside the windows on the front porch and switches the lights off. The problem is that this circuit box is located on the porch only for this episode as a plot point.

Deliberate mistake: During scenes at Walker's Drugstore there are many magazines by the wall near the door, which have tape/paint hiding part or all of their cover titles. Examples are: all the Sports Illustrated have tape across the word "Illustrated", the House and Garden has its "House &" covered, and Time magazine's entire title is blacked out.

Deliberate mistake: When a shark lands in front of TCL Chinese Theater (Grauman's), it leaves a shark shaped indentation on the ground right above the square concrete block with Steven Spielberg's signature, handprints and shoeprints. Fun homage to the 'Jaws' director. But in fact the actual concrete block, dated 5-16-84, is rectangle and shared by both Spielberg and George Lucas, and it's also not located at the center of the forecourt in front of the doorway.

Deliberate mistake: April wears a watch and bracelet on her left wrist, but after Fin is swallowed by the shark, when April puts her hands on her head in the closeup it's a flipped shot - note the watch and bracelet are on her right wrist.

Deliberate mistake: When Baz is driving the 'movie car' the vehicle does not have hubcaps, but in the closeups of the tires there are hubcaps, and the tires change, plus there's tape covering the brand name at the center of the hubcap.

Deliberate mistake: While Squad 51 is chasing after Bill, who's slumped over in the saddle on the run-away horse, one of the shots of Bill from inside the squad is a flipped shot. Note the landscape, as well as the shadow being cast on Bill's right instead of his left.

Deliberate mistake: After Roy and Johnny rescue the man trapped under his house, when the ambulance reaches Rampart, in the shot from inside the ambulance when Roy follows the stretcher out, he stops at the receiving doors and waits for John, who just arrived in the squad, and in this semi-closeup, it's odd and very apparent that it's not actually Randolph Mantooth, it's his double meeting Roy at the door.

Deliberate mistake: When Johnny and Roy are on the Coast Guard copter, responding to 'victim down at cliffs at Catalina Island', there are four closeups of the guys looking out the windows which are flipped shots - note their uniforms are backwards, the paramedic patches are on their right sleeves instead of their left.

Deliberate mistake: When O'Brien shows up at the nurses' station for Dixie's answer, after she declines the offer Dixie walks off to a patient who's brought in by the police, and the last closeup that's shown of O'Brien is flipped - note his hair is parted the opposite way and the background is backwards.

Deliberate mistake: When Roy and Johnny are on the Coast Guard helicopter, approaching Catalina Island with the injured diver, there is a closeup shot of them looking out the windows, which is a flipped shot - note the backwards paramedic patch on the right sleeve, instead of being on the left sleeve.

Deliberate mistake: Rampart's ER is located in the south lower wing of the hospital complex and it is only a two-storey building (with a basement), but the elevator, which is located past the nurses' station at the wing's far south end, has two floor indicator panels listing eight floors - one panel over the elevator doors and another we see every time the elevator doors open, which is not possible.

Deliberate mistake: At the market, after the tiger knocks over the pyramid of Hi-C cans, which were set up blocking the aisle just for that purpose, the officer tells Les, "Down that aisle," and the next shot of the aisle is a flipped shot - note the backwards words on the upside-down boxes. Two shots later that same aisle is shown properly, not flipped.

Deliberate mistake: After Johnny's and Captain Stone's efforts, when the construction site's cardiac arrest is wheeled into Rampart, the problem is twofold; First, we hear Roy's voice saying, "Full arrest, number four," even though Roy is not actually on this run (that line is from S4xE21 "Back-Up", when they wheel the cardiac arrest into treatment 1, after defibbing him atop Engine 51). And second, the attendant pulling the stretcher changes, and the EKG monitor lying on the patient is the old blue Datascope 850 from earlier seasons (this shot is from S4xE7 "Daisy's Pick", the hypothermic victim - note his wrapped foot!), whereas at the construction site and when he's wheeled into the treatment room, the EKG monitor is the newer white Datascope M/D2.

Deliberate mistake: After the fireworks begin exploding at the warehouse fire, when Captain Stanley and Roy are helping Willy out, they are knocked to the ground by an explosion, and in two of the following exterior shots the large sign that reads "Kiddytime Toy Co" is visible. This shot is from season 4, episode "The Screenwriter", when the guys respond to the fire at the toy factory that also made fireworks.
